well no. i think you are confusing truth with fact. The fact is that it was written by white americans for white americans. That's the fact, but it isn't the truth. it's an overly simplistic way to look at it because you have to put it in context to determine the true intent of the the writers of the constitution. Because they did not live in a world that involved muslims or gays or any minority having equal rights for that matter. there was no precedent for it as it did not exist. the thought of extending rights to blacks or gays or muslims would not have occurred to the founders of our country. however, the covered themselves because they knew they hadn't accounted for everything which is why the exact reading of the constitution is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
So, it doesn't matter that they had not thought of non-whites because the first amendment is broad enough to protect the faiths of all people (even those who were not considered to be people at the time)
Therefore, the constitution protects the rights of all americans,no matter who or what they are. So again, to articulate the difference between fact and truth, the fact is that most rights of americans should be reserved only for upper class white males, however, this would be in total conflict with the moral truths of the constitution which espouse values such as equality and inclusion.
This practice of interpretation is called hermeneutics and its the way practically everyone interprets old texts. its this type of interpretation that allows people to practice christianity without keeping slaves, or for that matter islam without killing infidels, because people who practice those faiths have gone beyond the facts of what is said and instead find the moral truths.
so you are actually totally wrong. The constitution was in fact written by white americans for white americans, but that ain't the truth, and everyone knows it.
