better issue than the previous two. Herc is a complete moron, and (so far) has been written as such. I find the way Cho and Sersi to be written to be pretty irritating and campy...to the extent that when Chaos King speaks, i appreciate the haiku all the more.

As for Galactus

Spoiler:
There's really no point in him being in the story, so far...nor anyone else aside from Herc and Cho, if you believe what Athena says at the end. Anyway, as to what happened, Zeus summoned a gigantic thunderbolt which staggered Galactus to one knee. A few pages later Big G was up again...but we find that Zeus of course, is not under some mere "amp." Zeus is actually just a puppet vessel for Mika himself and a whole shit storm of enslaved gods. They literally ran out of Zeus's body. So Mikaboshi and the enslaved gods in zeus' body staggered a hungry Galactus to 1 knee. That I can buy.

oh. nevermind. not really a low showing for galactus then.

nice issue. let's hope people will stop whinning about cosmic balance and stuff now.

Spoiler:
So basically, it toke multiple host of pantheons and the new opposite to Eternity to stagger Galactus to one knee?

doubt it,
if thor chased galactus off before, zeus(someone who can put thor down with ease) putting him on 1 knee isnt a bad showing, especially since he is clearly starving

Forgot about that Thor showing against Galactus dude. They've met several times since then and Thor has been shown to be insignificant by comparison in each instance. That thor feat was back when Jack kirby was still a young guy and drawing comics. That's how old that is.

Spoiler:
after the eyeblast from Galactus that we saw in the preview, we further saw Zeus break free from the crap hellstrom and sersi were doing to him. Ares warned them to put down Zeus before he unleashed "his true power." At THAT point he unleashed a super massive thunderbolt that staggered Galactus to one knee. We know Galactus stated he should have been able to put down zeus with that eye blast, "unless" something else was in play. And he was right...Herc saw that and realized that he had to kill zeus. Eventually herc and zeus talk like father and son. However this whole time, it was actually mikaboshi and a whole host of enslaved gods who were powering/animating Zeus' body and tricking hercules into revealing where the rest of the pantheons were.

I don't think anything zeus did the whole issue was under his own power whatsoever.

didnt zeus outright said he was being controlled by mikaboshi? mikaboshi was just possessing him he just keep zeus from getting killed since he took the powers of hell lords, zeus putting thor and surfer down and breaking those chains are well within his power, mikaboshi just used him

Spoiler:
they were all being controlled by mikaboshi except none of the god squad knew that mikaboshi was actually right there in their midst. Zeus should always put thor down not only because he's a sky father but because thunder and lightning are zeus' domain, not Thor's. Thor is just a particpant in the power. However the fact is that Ares warned them all to kill zeus before zeus unleahsed his "true power" meaning there was something hidden. That's when he blasts Galactus with the thunderbolt and herc suddenly realizes that there's more than meets the eye with Zeus. It's clear that Skyfather herc was struggling against Ares alone so Mikaboshi and the enslaved gods were definitely augmenting those present. with their respective powers. That also explains Galactus' shock as to why he couldn't put down Zeus. Mikaboshi was empowering all of them, and he brought his enslaved pantheons with him. Did you actually read the comic? Read it first then reply.

Cool, thanks T, still haven't read it but it sounds better then the two previous that have been as uncosmic as it can.

so what happened to galactus is he dead.

galactus is being used to job again

It's probably an unquantifiable feat, because we will never know G's strength at the time, nor the full extent of the power used by those who inhabited Zeus.

The whiners and enthusiasts would do well simply to ignore the power level implications and just enjoy the story. It's doutbful we'll get much definitively outlined for us.

Yep, you better not focus in the powerlevel and enjoy this, as long as it's fun it will be better than Siege -at least the last chapters-.

...

For the record, Surfer totally said they got interrupting at feeding so it's totally a hungry Galactus biscuits

lol imagine a story that actually point out power levels...
something like "398.873 mid and 276.328 high skyfathers attacked a 43,225% fed Galactus and a droped him to his knee...etc"

that would be awesome!!!! 😱

chaos war thor I preview

yeah the Thor one-shot tie in looks interesting. Glory looks mikaboshi-esque.

Still...10,000 gods???? Where's the rest of asgard?

Spoiler:
They didn't show mika absorbing asgard in issue #3...and balder appears in the pencils preview for issue 4...so I don't think asgard is dead..yet.

wow glory looks powerful

why is balder part of the council? does he have the odin power?
if not why are they following the lead of the weakest member by far ?
