Ah, Sora has not displayed an ability to block the effects of being frozen. He can block the icicle projectiles, but the one attack that actually freezes him, the ice breath, he can't. Reflega also has a rather short casting time and a duration to match.
I'd bet an Ice Arrow hits the Keyblade and freezes it over.
Making it sound like the whole volcano was frozen from the shot, and not blocking the ice breath means he cant block arrows? Hope people realise that blocking icy-'air' is different to an arrow with ice properties. (Not like he couldnt block/dodge an arrow) From the Hercules movie that breath was able to instant freeze dozens of running horses and even start to freeze over lava.
linkownsyousobs' list of items goes well for this. Oh, and for the heat; Chernabog can erupt the volcano on Sora and Hades flames>lava I believe was shown in the movie.
Reflect > Mirror shield for covering the whole body and causing damage right away for any kind of attack, physical or magic. (Note, the guidebook states that Reflect repels 150% damage inflicted, Reflera 160% and Reflega 200%)
Like the idea of bringing Jak to the other side via mind-control.

Think for a second that Sora 'can' block the arrow and any ice attack with the keyblade, how would he be able to block a large stream of cold air with it? Its not the same as blocking a projectile.
Id say they aren't far from each other, from what you said the Ice arrows could freeze a (albeit small) volcano for a while before it heats back up, that breath could freeze lava being thrown up from the lava titan. That's at a constant rate without melting and still freezing.
Instant 200% may = stored up move depends how its used but whole body protection > shield, ey? For some reason a Link/Sora tag-combo involving those moves by bouncing a move back and forth getting stronger is in my head mmm
Ima guess so though I dont know how agile Jak is, Omega Infecto-Bomb is a better choice imo. Can hit both at once, brainwashes and drains health.

Mirror Shield > Reflectga for not running out. Ever. Also for absorbing your attacks and directing them back at you with multiplied intensity at any time you desire. Also nice for bashing people's faces in.
