You were claiming all along that the PC is an external power source that he must reach and that therefore, an ionizing field from SM's HV would depower him, so let's take a closer look of those scans in light of your argument about HV.
Even though the SS can be kept from accessing his own PC (much like mutants can be kept from accessing their own powers with certain technologies from earth), those kinds of interferences are internal, they're not blocking him from reaching an outside source of PC, they're screweing the functioning of his organism or will. So HV and its mighty ions are a big nono here.
In some other scans, he's been stripped of his stored energy reserves - his batteries of cosmic energy, not the PC - and even states he couldn't replenish them in time. So he still had the PC to control and absorb energy, he was just lacking in juice. Again, fail.
And the ones where the PC was sucked from him make it clear that it's inside of him and was being drained away and this is where you self-destructed: When they suck the PC, they pull it out of his body, not from some other place in the cosmos. The fact that he didn't die or turn back into his zen-lanian form can be explained away as partial, not total, PC drain
So the only thing your noble effeort proved was that the PC is within him, not outside of him. He absorbs ambient cosmic energy to feed himself and fuel his powers, but that is not the Power Cosmic, something that has been explained to you already.
Furthermore, Annihlation is more recent and takes precedence as it retcons the past. Then again: The fact that he didn't die or turn back into his zen-lanian form when drained of the PC can be explained away as partial, not total, PC drain.
So yeah, I think we're done with the SM can depower him with his awesome HV argument.

I couldn't see that in fullsize. If it says what tou've written, I'll concede that in some portrayals the PC is said to be outside his body, but in the majority they're not. And the fact that they drain the power from within him shows this. Annihlation would contradict a minority of showings in which the PC is said not to be a part of SS's being.

If you think your logic reflected back onto the character you are clearly campaigning for is cogent... then more power to you. At least you're not a hypocrite. If you don't think it's cogent, then nice double-standard. As for the rest of us, your logic displaced and replciated exactly on other characters is the same type of stupid.
Ultimately, making use of your inexact analogies of "faucets" doesn't support superheat stripping Surfer of his powers. Frankly, the effort and passion you put into this would be admirable, if it weren't so clearly misplaced and ultimately futile.
