STAR WARS: RETROSPECTON- Song of Remembrance

Started by Baylin24 pages

Alek looks at Takuan with a grin "Handy trick that!" and then, gun held at head height, opens fire on the guards with a sweeping action trying to get an even spread of shots across

Following up on Takuan's Advanced Bombard, Alek shoots down a police officer with repeating blasts. When the police return fire, Takuan artfully reflects three incoming hits... dwindling the police group down to half their original number.

An enormous Osokan reveals himself from behind one of the transport speeders that the police arrived in, flanked by another two of the kind you fought earlier. His leather armor is no more impressive than theirs, but marked to designate leadership. And several scalps hang from his shoulder strap...

Are we outside now, is there a chance Alek could leap over the osokans to make his escape? I'm guessing probably not, so he's going to fire a massive volley of shots at the police officers to get them out of the way, looking extremely cool while he fires he watches the osokans for signs of their nasty whips

Those Osokans certainly already have their weapons out.

Initiative is theirs! Those Osokans almost certainly already have their whips out, but they do not advance. The police fire before you and Tarinda blast down two. Takuan rushes forward and the last two police are hacked apart.

"Watch out for those whips Tar!" He says menacingly trying to keep out of their range whilst he starts firing at their whip hands/arms to make them drop their weapons.

Is there any chance of being able to get one of the blasters from the dead cops so he can start firing double volleys at the osokans?

Stylistically, yes. Rules-wise, it wouldn't give you any benefits. You need Both Guns Blazing to pull off any spectacular two-gun feats.

Which Osokan are you targeting? 10,000 Bolts lets you make repeated attacks on a single target.

I'll aim for nearest to me in order to keep that whip at bay. Still aiming for the arm/hand to make it drop the blasted thing

Initiative to you! As one of the Osokans comes lumbering your way,
you spray it down with a quick flurry of fire. Tarinda backs you up; she's rolling surprisingly well with that blaster she nabbed.

Takuan engages the sizeable Captain but is outnumbered. His attack on the Captain splits its leather armor before the monster grabs Takuan's sword hand, leaving him open to a strike from behind.

Seeing his would be saviour at risk Alek leaps in cover his back leaving Tarinda to deal with the one we were working against. He fires rapidly at the osokan who has the opening on Takuan.

You cannot disengage the Osokan without giving him a bonus attack. You are locked in.

Ok then.

"Watch your back Takuan!" Alek shouts across as he continues to pummel the osokan with blaster shots.

Are you changing targets, then?

No, I'm sticking with the one Tarinda and I were fighting. Probably best to bring that one down first!

Good idea.

Initiative is yours! The Osokans heal some of their injuries, but you are relentless in your attack on the one attacking you. Five successes and two successes combines for 9 damage, and Tarinda supports you for 3 more. He is wearing down; the whip cracks harmlessly above your head.

Takuan uses the Force to spin his lightsaber in his hand, badly cutting the arm of the Captain for 14 damage on an Orthodox Guard tap. In return, Takuan is entirely missed!

With a grim smile Alek renews his effort at blasting the Osokan, now aiming for its head to disable it.

6-4, intiative to you!

Between your blasting and Tarinda's, the Osokan goes down!

Takuan seems to be struggling against the Captain now that he's expended his Guard; he only lands a blow for 7 damage.

The second Osokan, since Takuan had not engaged it, comes running over to deal with you. 8 damage to you as its whip ensnares your gun hand! You pull yourself free but your reactions are starting to slow...

Might be time to pull out the big guns, Alek. You have not tapped any Gun schticks in this fight and have many useful Combat schticks as well.

Oooh good point! Lets have a bit of tapped 10k bolts shall we. Alek jumps back out of whip range as he fires into the osokans face, aiming for it's eyes to blind it.

Realizing that his powerful new ally is in trouble, Alek puts a little more effort into killing the Osokan he is fighting. Repeated blasts to its face inflict a total of 13 damage, with Tarinda throwing in another 4 on top of that. Of course, he heals up some of it.

Takuan strikes the Captain for 10 damage as the last blow he struck stitches up, followed by the Captain smashing Takuan upside the face with the hilt of the whip for 5 damage.

Alek continues blasting at the osokans face and as the beast starts to falter he starts moving round toward Takuan still firing rapidly. If the osokan goes down this round he'll pick the whip up to use against the remaining osokan

With 10,000 Bolts tapped out (remember to swap!) it is going to be slow going shooting that Osokan down now...
