STAR WARS: RETROSPECTON- Song of Remembrance

Would either Alek or Tarinda be able to manage to drive a speeder? Most folk seem to be able to drive them even if not a pilot. If so Alek will look for a speeder to commandeer.

Certainly. You are just a very mundane driver, Alek.

It is Fix-It to hotwire a speeder.

Alek bundles Takuan into the nearest parked up speeder, hot wires it whilst Tarinder gets on and then moves in to traffic flow trying to remain inconspicuous as he heads towards the starport.

Does Alek have Fix-It?

Yep, he certainly does

Four successes. Consider it hotwired!

Hard to be totally inconspicuous in a police transport. Traffic stays out of your way as you make for the starport. It takes significantly less time than walking would, especially with a paralyzed Takuan.

When you arrive, Takuan groggily mutters something.

"What was that you said?" He glances at Takuan "Is there a particular docking bay you have in mind?" As he drives around the complex he asks Tarinda to look for some sort of first aid kit for the stricken Takuan. He's also using Observation to keep an eye out for any further security services that may be tagging them.

Tarinda comes up with a small medkit, but somehow you know it is not going to help Takuan.

Starport security is generally pretty light, but it seems to have been increased since your last visit here. You spot a few gray-uniformed Bureau agents coordinating the Karkarvian policemen around. No more Osokans though.

Takuan manages to give a docking bay number: 54.

Alek heads around to bay 54 "Hmm, I don't suppose you have a pilot waiting for us by any chance?"

Takuan grunts an affirmative.

You arrive at Bay 54 in the police transport, which arouses the suspicions of the Karkarvian guards watching over it. They start to wander over.

"These aren't the droids you're looking for!"
"These aren't the droids we're looking for!"
"Move along..."
"Move along, move along!"

Oops...

Alek tries to bluff it by pretending that nothing is wrong or out of the ordinary.
"Tarinda help me get Takuan on to the ship". He says as he keeps an eye on the guards. He is ready to draw and fire using Gun Slinger. If they open fire he'll leave Takuan to Tarinda and fire back using Eye Of Storm and 10k Bolts.

Tarinda starts grabbing up Takuan, leaving you to grab your suitcase.

"What's going on over here?" one guard asks.

Can Alek make a persuade roll to convince the guards that he this an undercover operation that needed to use the police speeder to get this unwell, special off world dignitary back to his ship where his own doctor can treat him as soon as possible?

You can give it a go!

Well it's certainly a bit different to my usual tack so lets give it a go!

Alright! What are you saying to the guards as they approach?

With an air of superiority he shouts "Hey you!" then motioning to the guards "Quick, get this speeder out of the way, the gravely sick Ambrian ambassador Metinall needs to get off world immediately!" Then as if dismissing them to the their newly appointed task he strides to the waiting ship. He keeps his hand near his blaster just in case though.

"Whoa, whoa," one says as Tarinda brings Takuan out of the speeder. "HE'S the Ambrian ambassador? What is he doing on Karkarvos?"

Alek turns around and looks at the guards as if they're morons. Then using a little intimidation to back up the persuasion he says "That's right, the Ambrian ambassador and he's here negotiating a lucrative trade agreement. He needs a medicine not available on Karkarvos, and if he dies, so does the agreement and your jobs with it when the Governor finds out you got in our way!" He points to the speeder "Now move it out of our way now!" He moves to help the stricken 'ambassador' on to the ship.

The problem here is that you are not much of a liar (lacking the Lying skill). They are indeed intimidated, but ask for identification.
