It feels incredibly familiar and comfortable in your hands. Smooth and cool, it is made of metal and possesses rubber hand grips. It appears to connect at the middle and unclips easily when you give it a slight twist. The ends flare out, almost like flash hiders for a blaster rifle.
I do not know if you put buttons or switches on there... but this is YOUR lightsaber! You vaguely recall building it... with some instruction from... Kuylen? You are not sure what this all means.
Alek stands and twirls the handle round a few times with an almost child like curiosity. "This is mine, I built this!" He stops twirling it and activates one side and then the other "Why would I have a light sabre?" Making sure there is space, he carefully swishes it around and then deactivates it again. "I need to find out what is going on, and who I am..." He walks over to where Takuan is laid up to see if he is awake again yet.
You are certain that you were not the main target on Karkarvos, Alek. Takuan was. But you were definitely being roped in yourself. You feel fortunate to have made it out of there alive... and really, you question how you did it. If you were really just a singer in a band, where did you develop your fighting skills?
"Why wouldn't you remember?" Tarinda asks. "Just... amnesia, or whatever?"
"Ha, you obviously know less than me then!" He shrugs "simply put I was in some sort of an accident and can't remember anything before my time singing with the Tarinda's band." He gently kicks the back of the pilots chair to wind the kids up and chuckles "Sooo, I can't ask where we're going, can I ask why it's a secret...?"
He sits down, holds the light sabre gently. He then sings softly as he settles his mind to ponder what it means. He is trying to bring out any memories that might be still lingering about in the depths of his mind.
Where are you elusive thought?
Ever searching ever sought,
lost within all the troubles bought?
Where are you my life's past?
Were you lost within a blast,
To soon come again at long last?
Where are you, memories gone?
It seems to me, away too long,
To maybe found within a song...?
"Yup," the boy says, not paying you much attention as he goes through landing procedures. The ship drops down into the planet's atmosphere, greeted by an impenetrable fog. You have a hard time understanding how the boy even knows where he is going, knowing enough about flying to know that these are not at all ideal flight conditions.
The boy struggles with the controls for a moment before the ship sets down roughly in some muddy area.
"Watch your step outside," the boy says, taking off his flight gear. "The steam vents really suck if you fall in them."
