STAR WARS: RETROSPECTON- Song of Remembrance

He shrugs "yeah I was beginning to suspect that!" He looks around for somewhere to sit "So what's to do whilst Takuan recovers enough for you to speak to?" He asks simply.

"Rest and heal," he says. "And try to remember what you have forgotten."

Part of the cavern has full medical facilities, so Alek can patch up after that drawn-out gunfight (whipfight?) on Karkarvos.

"Okay then" Alek goes to make use of the med facilities.

(I'm guessing some kind of meditation is going to be required for the recall to happen)

Are there any archives of any kind that Alek can look at to find out more about himself?

Unfortunately not! The cave has medical facilities and a make-shift communication array as its major set pieces, but is otherwise just littered with old furniture and garbage.

Since Rah lacks Medicine, Balto patches him up using medical supplies. You can remove 20 damage for resting and another 21 from Balto's assistance.

And you can try meditation! Though you don't really know much about that sort of thing... or if you did, you don't remember.

I guess he'll find a quiet corner and do what he does best. He closes his eyes and sings, nothing in particular, gently to himself to clear his mind...

This planet is eerily quiet... but a secluded, adjacent tunnel will suit you. You start to sing...

You see a group of beings, outlined as shadows against a crackling blue glow. They are fighting. You see yourself among them, falling into a precipice...

Surprised, Alek gasps "well I suppose that's a start!" he mutters to himself as he tries to make sense of it.

He closes his eyes and starts singing again...

You are in a space port, confronted by beings in radiation suits. You are carrying something important. Everything is on fire.

"We shall win this time, Jedi!" shouts a man beside you, covered in radiation burns. "Rah, help me lift this thing..."

These must be glimpses of your past, Alek.

"Rah? Who is Rah? The name must mean something to me!" He continues to use the peaceful atmosphere to gently sing and meditate on it.

You continue to sing, and images such as these continue to float to the surface. But they are without context or meaning, and fade away as quickly as you have brought them.

There is one that strikes you as important, however.

You see a woman with brown hair, cloaked in darkness, standing before a set of stone doors, long ago. She stands before them, hands raised. The doors tremble but do not budge. After some time, she gives up.

With a grunt of annoyance Alek gets up and looks around for Hajid. When he finds him he says "Look, I know something is going on around here and it involves me in some way that I just can't seem to grasp." He looks about in frustration "I have a light staff that I know I built, yet I have no knowledge or memory of ever doing that. So that leads me to think I must be a Jedi or something cuz those guys are the only ones who make those weapons. I also keep having visions which don't mean anything to me and a name; Rah is also important!" He looks him in the eye and says in a no-nonsense manner "I need some fricking answers!!!"

Hajid is meditating in the main cavern. He laughs.

"I should think that you would at least know who Rah is," Hajid says. "He is you, after all! That is your true name. Toolok Rah.

"As for being a Jedi..." He laughs again. "Not quite. Jedi are not the only ones who utilize lightsabers, my friend. For you are no Jedi. You were trained in the Dark Side of the Force, as I was. As Takuan was. No, you were never a Jedi Knight, Rah. You are a criminal."

"I'm Rah?!?" he says incredulously. "Well I guess that makes some sense." He cocks his head to one side "So what the hell happened to me and why can't I remember anything about being a force user, and more to the point how do I re-learn to use it?" Then he laughs "As for being a criminal - well that doesn't surprise me I've never much liked following rules..."

"I will leave that explanation to Takuan," Hajid says, "for I was not there when it happened. As for reconnecting with the Force... once your memory is restored, it should happen naturally. You have been made to forget, not stripped of your power."

"Oookay then..." He looks a bit perplexed "How is Takuan doing anyway?"

"Balto is bringing him from the ship now," Hajid says. "He is awake and recovering. Those neurowhips the Osokans use are fairly nasty... energy weapons that paralyze the nerves until their prey can no longer move. Then they gut them with hunting knives."

'Nasty...' He frowns 'so who or what caused the block in my memory, and why?' He asks

"Patience," Hajid says with a grin. "I know that's not really in your nature, but Takuan will be able to explain everything..."

It is shortly after that Takuan comes limping into the cavern, with Balto behind him. He still looks tired and frail.

"Did you explain anything to him?" Takuan asks Hajid.

"I thought it would be best if you did," Hajid replies.

"Hmm, alright," Takuan says. "So... Rah. Come with me. We'll talk."

"About time!" He grunts testily as he follows Takaun. "So... yeah... thanks for help back on karkavos, I hope you're mending well!" He says almost contritely as they become alone.
