Still you'd think that the only known bloodbender prior to the incident would be present.

Can't imagine Toph going to some random dude and screwing him because she's bored.

Meh...had no real opinion on Tarrlok and always though of him as just another politition. Being Yakone's son was too predicatable for my taste and I'd hope for a better revelation than that.

Eh. Not like she could stop him.

I assume Toph got happily married first. Kids show and all.

I liked Tarrlok. So I'm kinda sad.

Still Katara has ben shown to counter blood-bending when used on her. Just thought it'd be a tad more helpful

The random dude that got destroyed by Toph in the bed must be the most awesome person in the series.

He did meet his end a tad too soon didn't he?

Yeah but that's at night time.

Indeed. Adult Toph is hawt.

Indeed. In a cool way though. That Amon is awesome no matter what.

Aww...man. I woder what Grand Master Water-bending Katara does now.

If that was Toph in her 40's, I wonder how hot she was in her 20's

Indeed.

Amon reached a whole new level of badass. Maybe it was some kind of trick but kinda seemed like he resisted it on pure will. The fact that he sounds like Wolverine from WATX doesn't hurt either.

And yeah, glad it's finally settled that its possible to overcome bloodbending. Remember arguing with some guy on another site - he claimed that Katara under fool moon can solo Avatar state Aang and commet powered Ozai. I called bs.

Im now intrigued more than ever. Looks like Amon does the energy bending trick the exact same way Aang did it.

Ok this is my latest crazy theory. (last one I swear)

Amon is actually... Aang. I know I know but hear me out. Somehow Avatar's spirit left Aang's body before he died. This way Korra was born. And Aang turned into soulless (literally) villain. That's how Amon is the only one beside Aang who can resist bloodbending and take away people's bending. Also explains why he wear the mask. 😮

Can't see Amon being Aang but he could be Aang's non-bending son.

Yep, that and how he resisted the bloodbending pretty much confirms that Amon's the real deal.

Think about Zuko.

~ Amon's badass for pushing Tarlokk's shit in. I hope he isn't killed off/neutralized in the season finale.
Adult Sokka sounded ghey. Still as kewl as ever though.

Him being so complementary towards Toph was odd though.

They were always buddy buddy, and she had a crush on him. And so far in the Promise part 2, it's looking like Suki is falling for Zuko and he got dumped by Mai. Maybe Toph and Sokka hooked up?

Dude, it's a cartoon show, not a soap.

Suki falling for Zuko? Did I miss something?

Really if blood-bending is this easy to do then the other elements pale in comparison.
how did you come to this conclusion? Did you miss the part where Sokka said it's incredibly rare to do, and even more rare for someone to do it without the full moon? Two people doing it in the entire series ≠ easy to do or common.

I really would like to know how this pairing idead started....along with the Suki thing.

Amon's badassery probably stems from Blum being his VA. Either that or he's a homunculus of Aang as SamZED suggested. Still funny how Tarrlok can pwn everyone easily but Amon shrugs it off.

Maybe they're mutants among benders.

Sigh.. Wish promise showed what happened to Azula...

I meant it as a potential theat thing. Even if it is rare, should anyone be able to use blood-bending that casually all the other benders can suck it. I mean look at the Yakone incident: had Aang not been there, he would've gotten away w/o any problems.

So I guess a better way of saying the same sentence is: "If blood-bending becomes that easy, then all the other elements will pale in comparison."

Like SamZed mentioned, this episode confirms that the whole light show thing isn't necessary when taking away a person's bending and that Amon does it the same way Aang does.

For now, i'm gonna stick with my earlier guess and say that Amon somehow found a way to visit the spirit world and learned how to energy bend.

Also, do you guys think that Amon's ability to resist bloodbending has something to do with controlling his chi? I doubt it's pure strength of will.

Well the lion-turtle that taught Aang how to do it said that energy-bending was around before the Avatars. Going by that wouldn't everyone be able to do it?

Hmmm...not sure how chi controlling would stop blood-bending but it would provide some explanation to Amon's resistence.

Bunch of retarded theories in this thread.

Pity tarlocks number came up so soon

Geck, why are you always so angry? We gotta get u laid, buddy.

that was me offering, btw. flirt
