Maybe Amon is Katara and Aang's "other" son. And maybe Amon is really Tarlokk seeing as Tarlokk doesn't energybend the way Aang did. Maybe its just blood bending.

And I always thought water bending was overpowered mostly cause of the healing and blood bending.

Thought about it but doubt Amon and Tarlokk are the same guy. Would be too simple. Two major baddies of the show are one and the same? Nah. One of them could be Aang's son. If its Amon he's probably the only nonbender of the family and has jealousy issues. Eventually discovers wnergy bending and starts taking people's powers away. If its Tarlokk then i see them doing a HP Goblet of Fire plot with father imprisoning his own son because he's evil. Although thatd make Aang a very dark character.

The way Tarrlok went bug-eyed when Korra compared him to Amon suggests that they aren't the same guy.

I seriously doubt they are the same person as well. The show is all about the Avatar bringing balance to the world. In this case Amon is one extreme and Tarrlok is on the other side of the spectrum. Korra, imo, has to bring balance to both viewpoints.

I also doubt them being one in the same. However, Tarrlok is very clearly some other kind of monster from his actions, abilities, and that flashback.

Love how this show brought back saturday morning cartoons for me...even if its the only one I watch...and never watched it on tv...or in the morning. Lol

Do you guys think that Korra was actually trying to kill Tarrlok at the end there? The guy had no water to defend himself with and she went in to burn his face off by the looks of it.

korra is no pacifist; we saw in the first episode that she has no problem hurting people and given the situation, i think it's fair to say she was gonna burn his ass. Plus, he started it by throwing ice shuriken. lol.

She was only gonna zuko him relax

One thing I dislike is how common shit like lightning, metal bending and maybe now even blood bending has become.

It should be something only elites know and not every other nobody. Not a deal breaker but not something I'm a fan off.

I liked TLA better so far.

^ discussed the possible reasons for that after the 3rd episode when Mako was seen at work. it's only logical.

Like Marwash said, it makes sense. Toph wanted to teach people metalbending, so she opened a school. Zuko, Iroh, and probably other firebenders like Jeong-Jeong probably felt that since the war was over, they could teach instead of fight. It's like any martial art. People will learn the intricacies and higher forms eventually.

I laughed pretty dang hard at Meelo's fart entry when they did the all hands in thing. This show is great.

What made that funny was how calm they all were, when an 8 year old boy landed and farted on their hands.

Incorrect, fart-bending will soon be introduced.

That...and the fact that they had someone fart during a serious moment. 🙂

Robtard called it.

Of course, it makes perfect sense that an air-bending would be the first to be a fart bender.

What, people thought I wasn't being serious? Fools.

God this series is so Noir. I love it.

This episode was great

Spoiler:
Anyone find it funny how Katara is nowhere in sight in Korra/Aang's flashback? Really if blood-bending is this easy to do then the other elements pale in comparison. Lin is also awesomem though I still wonder how Toph had a kid.

This love triange stuff still pisses me off.

At least it confirms that

Spoiler:
Avatar State>Bloodbending.

Though yeah, Yakone and Tarrlok are easily the most powerful benders in the series sans Aang.

Oh and Toph had a kid but jumping on some dudes bones. It's not that complex man.

Lastly, Tarrlok...I was digging him at the beginning of the episode but it's sad that

Spoiler:
his end
came so soon. But really, since that was all they were planning to do with the guy, it's probably for the best.

Still you'd think that the only known bloodbender prior to the incident would be present.

Can't imagine Toph going to some random dude and screwing him because she's bored.

Meh...had no real opinion on Tarrlok and always though of him as just another politition. Being Yakone's son was too predicatable for my taste and I'd hope for a better revelation than that.
