Avatar: The Legend of Korra

Started by starryknight127 pages

Now that Tarrok basically controls the city what does he have to fear, now he can show his true (insane colors)...I mean it is retarded that he would go so extreme so fast and add fuel to the fire but maybe that is part of his plan now he's forcing Amon to make a move and he feels like he'll be prepared.

Also I hate that he can blood bend I wonder if Katara taught it or if water benders just figured it out like fire benders learned to use lightning, Korra knew about it so I'm guessing that Katara had to have mentioned it.

Alway thought that using bloodbending is kinda cheating. Now they can do it during the day? Damn...

It's funny how the known Advanced forms of each bending style can be found in different parts of the city. Bloodbending, i.e the one that lets you control anything, is in the government. Metalbending, the physically strongest type of bending, is the police force(or Muscle). And the leader of the Gangs was a lightning bender(because Firebenders are always bad).

Only thing that screws that up is Mako having lightning bending(along with pretty much all the other Firebenders).

Well Mako did work at a power plant. Maybe lightning bending is covered in employee training; It could have just been another inovation Zuko and Aang tried to incorporate into Republic City. So how would airbending fit...even though there are only four confirmed airbenders in the series.

So...at this point everyone, save Katara on a full moon, is screwed against Tarrlok. I'm going to guess that Katara simply told people that bloodbending could be done on a full moon and Tarrlok just went from there or discovered it on his own. It'd be really unfortunate if Katara didn't at least try to get Aang to learn it.

Oh and I think this was overdue but Air Bending kids>New Team Avatar 🙂

Is Tarrlok

Spoiler:
some kind of mega being? From Korra's vision after he beat her, he was the one on trial with Aang, Toph, Sokka, etc... And he blood bended the entire court, including Aang who should have had experience against it if he and Katarra were smart. There's also the fact that he's still pretty young despite that having to have taken place decades ago.

Hey, Water gives one enhanced regeneration. Tarrlok could easily have skinny-dipped in the Spirit Oasis and stopped his aging. Combined with some hair dye and anti-aging products, he now looks younger. vin

Alternatively, he's that dude's son.

I've always wondered what the "advanced form" for airbending is. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say spirit bending. That would mean that perhaps it is not just an Avatar thing, as people thought it was, but an air-bender thing.

I'm probably wrong, but I'd still like thoughts on the matter of air's "advanced form".

Have you guys read any of the Promise?

Poor Zuko. Even in times of peace he just can't get a break. Poor guy.

I read the 1st one. Waiting on 2 and 3.

Part 2 came out 5 days ago. Part 3 will not be releasing until the 31st of September though. It sucks.

I lol'd at Ozai demonstrating his continued ownership of Zuko.

Also,

Spoiler:
the person the Earth-bending Fire Nation Colony chick was kissing, was it a girl or a guy?

The worst part about The Promise is Aang and Katara.

Ironically enough, they were always my least favorite of the protagonists.

I personally thought that it would be superspeed seeing as no else but Aang has done this. But what do I know.

I don't think there is an advanced form of airbending. Air seems overpowered enough considering its invisible and all around us. If there was it might be combining gases in the air or manipulating gas some way.

That or airbending the air in someones lungs.

Spoiler:
Maybe Amon is Katara and Aang's "other" son. And maybe Amon is really Tarlokk seeing as Tarlokk doesn't energybend the way Aang did. Maybe its just blood bending.

And I always thought water bending was overpowered mostly cause of the healing and blood bending.

logical, but not gonna happen in a kids show.

I have to say that this version of the Avatar series doesn't seem like its for kids that much. But I see your point.

what's the spoiler for?

how would bloodbending take away other bending?

that first comment was meant as a reply to Neph. airbending the air in someone's lungs... that seems a bit too deadly for a Nickelodeon show.

In case I'm right. Maybe it doesn't but they were next to paralyzed when Tarlokk did what he did. And I'm sticking to my saying that it looks nothing like the energy bending that Aang preformed
