Okay...damn. I mean damn! As much as I complain about this shows pacing, that was an excellently paced episode.

Tenzin is just cool. Want him to take on Amon one on one.. And Lin was such a badass. Lots of emotional moments and of course the awesome reveal at the end. This is WAR and I'm freaking loving it.

Though of course it wouldn't be Korra without Mako being a completely unlikable douche. Par for the course I guess. But here it barely phases me and Mako's stain does not distract from the glory that is Tenzin and Lin.

This episode was awesome. So apparently the Airbending Kids>>New Team Avatar? or at least the White lotus troops.

So Tenzin and his kids appeared to be better air-benders than Aang or at least Aang in TLA. Lin would make Toph proud with her feats.

Mako's proficiency with Lightning also ticks me off. Dude really doesn't deserve any of the girls he gets.

Another near-perfect episode. Meelo, Tenzin and Lin were all fvcking epic. Mostly Meelo though.

I'm still holding out hope that Amon's method of taking bending isn't real. The placement of the hands is a give away. It's different from Aang's and Amon just happens to put his hand on a pressure point that he's named after. Its significant.

And remember how Korra and Mako struggled with two chiblockers in episode 3? And here Asami is, beating the shit out of several. She really is the strongest member of Team Avatar.

Yeah, Asami is a really awesome person and fighter. Taking out those mechs with her car was metal as hell, and then she kicks the shit out of the Equalists easier than the benders did. Tbf, she probably has more experience fighting hand to hand since she needed to train against other people.

I also like that she isn't mad at Korra over the Mako thing. She still needs to prioritize a bit, but she's still another cool member of Team Avatar. Not as cool as Metalfvcking Lin!, but still cool.

Also, Zuko's voice doesn't really match up with his (probably) grandson. Dude sounds weird.

It would loose impact and make Lin's ending kind of pointless if Amon's process was reversable.

So Meelo>>>Asami>>>Korra/Mako/Bolin 🙂

I don't think it would cheapen it. Or if it did I think the 'oh thank god' aspect would overrule that.

I did think of something interesting earlier today and I'm curious what others think: Chakras.

Aang managed to gain control of the Avatar State through controlling the Chakras within him. However, I was wondering what a normal bender would gain if he went through the training. And then wondered how it would affect a normal human. Probably nowhere near the right answer but it would be neat if that is how Amon gained the ability to take away bending.

that's actually more plausible than my idea which is that Amon found a way to actually go into the spirit world. Perhaps Amon found someone like Guru Pahtik who taught him all about the chakras... or Amon could simply be a highly spiritual person and he's the evil (less peaceful/nice) version of Pathik.

Just rewatched the episode and found it to be a lot better. Although, I still think it is a little rushed.

Also I'm still pumped over General Iroh. Now Asami and Korra have another firebender to swoon over and I'll bet this one is cooler and more talaneted than Mako.

As for Amon, I think it's pretty clear that he is using energybending. However, if energybending can be used to remove bending than perhaps it can also be used to return it. Still, while I do like Lin, I hope it is permanent as it loses its emotional impact.
