The more I see the trailer for this, the less excited I am to see it. Don't know why, but, meh.
Y'know...I'm fairly new to KMC but the one thing I find the most odd is all the movie review threads....
Pages & pages of everybody judging a movie by its preview then when the actual movie hits the screens, hardly anyone gives their opinions on the actual film itself.

Wasn't picking on you...sorry if it came across that way.Just been wanting to share my observation for a while & your quote just seemed apt to do it.
I review more movies than I comment on previews, btw.
I'm our statistical outlier, I suppose. There's always got to be at least one, right? lol
If I'm not mistaken, Mildpossession is the same.
Either this will be excellent and a lot of fun, or it will be shit and a lot of fun. I don't see another avenue for this movie, honestly. A musical with incredibly hot women in fetish gear fighting robot samurai with chain guns? It's an obvious cash grab for nerd fantasies, but I don't care. I'm there opening night.
I think the movie looks visually gorgeous, which is most of what I enjoy about Snyder's films. Sure, the plot seems reminiscent of a few films, but that doesn't mean he isn't making the ideas his own in new ways. I will look forward to the over-use of slow-mo and eccentric piles of random things that teenage boys can't get enough of.
I read this review:
"Sucker Punch promises cake and when you show up, it's fruitcake, and you're like, "What the **** is this ****?" Because nobody likes fruitcake!"
And I laughed pretty damn hard.
Anyway, from what I read of the reviews and see of the previews, I'm going to love this film. I hope I'm only slightly disappointed. I see it Saturday. Already got me ticket.

It's kind of sad that society has gotten to the point where it considers a movie to be good if the viewer is only "slightly" disappointed by its end.
Wah? You kidding. People hate up and down all over movies like no ones business, these days. It's like...we are turning into a society of "grumpy old men" who can't be satieted by any films.
