When someone's argument is made with a "puppet", the credibility of their argument and the direction of the conversation is questionable.
Not really. Puppet Yoda was legitimately awesome.
It's this type of unreasonable, polarized, and hypocritical hate that I'm talking about. When ever I hear anyone say that acting was worse in the PT, that's an insta-facepalm.
But.....it IS worse.
😬

I ****ing hate Zack Snyder's fight choreography. Not every ****ing scene requires slow-mo, and am I the only person who noticed that the girls did that "land in a half-crouch then dramatically look up" thing like 50 times? Meh. Just about every aspect of the movie was lack luster. The women weren't even hot.
My Review of Sucker Punch.
I give it a 6 out of 10.
The story really just turned to complete crap about 60 minutes into the film.
Spoiler:
When Blue Jones discovers their plot...that's not how the film should have played out.
Things that were annoying:
The Anime style crouch and lookup pose. That was doing 10000000 times and it is okay to do in the film AFTER you destroy a bunch of bad guys...about two times. Anymore than that and it's really stupid.
The movie is actually only about 50 minutes long...but slo-mo is used soooooooooo much that it extends it all the way the 109 minute mark.
Some of the fghting sequences were VERY fun and that was the movie's only really good quality.
This movie would have been better as R with copious mounts of nudity to make up for the some of the bad parts.
Emily Downing was hot, of course: Two thumbs up.
If they re-wrote the last 30 minutes of the film to something I liked, I could give it a 7.5. Effects, sound, acting...those were all decent to great. Sometimes, the choreography sucked and was annoying and at other times, it was awesome. I have to give that a 5 out of 10. I could rank it higher if they would get rid of the "in your face shaking camera" work.
I recomend this movie be watched in the theater or at home on a really nice home theater. There is NO reason to watch the movie any other way because this movie's only great part is the visuals and sound. If you watch it on something other than that, you've wasted your time and should not watch the film as there's nothing worth watching about it other than the ear and eye candy.

I disagree. Puppet Yoda was awesome when I was 7.
And, "It is not worse."

Movie's shit. If you want to know why Snyder doesn't write most of his movies this movie's the answer. He's a shit writer. Incoherent, sloppy, and lazy. The use of fantasies for the fight scenes struck me not as an idea born from ambition, but because he's too inept to think of a way to transition from one scene to the next in an organic way.
And as everyone knows, his style is way past that of being a one trick pony. It's now a no trick pony. His abuse of slow motion is now into the realm of self parody.
Plot is terrible. Acting is terrible, Ending is terrible.
It has it's plus points though.
The women are hot
The action scenes during the "dances" are impressive enough.
It references an absolute ton of other movies and games.
Killzone
Lord of the Rings
I Robot
The Matrix
Casshern
Castle Wolfenstein
and a **** load more that I picked up on but have now forgot and probably a **** load more that I didn't pick up on.
As BF says...The writing is lazy and sloppy...But I don't think I'll ever see another film in my life that combines dragons, zombie german soldiers, giant samurai warriors, machine guns and scantily clad hot women.
So all things considered...I came away from this movie with a smile on my face.
Yeah in terms of the colour hue and the anime-esque CGI...Not to mention the blatant reference when she cuts the robot in half down the middle in slow motion which is lifted pretty much straight out of Cassherm
Obviously doesn't have the depth to the underlying theme that Casshern had though...But then it's Zach Snyder so who would expect anything else?
