^ That's because they process the actual footage and overlay digital effects onto the footage.

If you have a wireless mouse... the signal from the mouse to the computer is going at near light speed.

Yawn!

That is because your mouse is like 7 inches away from your receiver

move your mouse back and forth really fast and you will start seeing delay.

Really just drop it

^ Move my mouse farther away and I don't get delay. It just stops working because the signal isn't clear enough. You really think wireless signals don't move at near light speed? Hell, it only moves at near light speed because of the air and light itself can only move at near light speed through air.

This is by far the most tedious discussion in the history of KMC...or at least in the last few days.

Haven't read it.Inform me about it.

When I first got a wireless mouse I remember one of my friends (a hardcore gamer) warning me that with a wireless mouse there was a micro-second delay that apparently could be a deciding factor in a fast paced game. I laughed but given how experienced he is in gaming he was probably right, not that it really mattered. You wouldn't notice it in anything but gaming most likely.

he must have SS awareness to calculate the time and notice it

lol..

seriously, a wireless mouse is being compared to that of a supposedly advance artificial life form in space..

That's not because the wireless signal itself is slow. That's because the hardware in your mouse is translating the laser reflection and/or the computer's software doesn't keep up translating the information instantly.

This is basic science. All electromagnetic radiation moves at the speed of light.

That radio signal your car stero is receiving? Light speed. This is basic science.

pretty sure radio waves dont move at light speed .. i can only thing of photons moving at light speed without getting into quantum theoretical physics.. or gravity exponentially increasing the speed of electrons and every other form of energy.

plus gotta factor in the medium like atmosphere for increase or decrease..

Some lol moments here.

Radio waves move at light speed. Look it up. This is elementary school.

Yes. And beams of light equally slow down in mediums like atmosphere.

I'm pretty sure that in a vacuum all kinds of electromagnetic waves move at light speed.

pretty much..

Ok thats it this is getting silly

Your mouse is as fast as Silver Surfer, happy?

It's light speed in vacuum.

Surfer is FTL.

u guys are right but the energy required to push radio waves to light speed depends on the density of frequency.. i dont think that applies to photons.. so u guys are right its just not every radio wave moves at those speeds..

^ No. Not at all. Every single radio wave moves at light speed. It's not even light's speed. It's electromagnetic radiation's speed. We just refer to it as "light" speed because light is actually visible -- leading us to try to measure it first -- and radio waves and gamma rays and x-rays are invisible.

If you think basic science education is silly, then more power to you.

Nice straw-man. Was it your first one? You always remember your first.

he has a point ODG. bringing science to the realm of comics, where writers are often themselves ignorant of or deliberately flout the laws of derived science is a pointless endeavor
