he has a point ODG. bringing science to the realm of comics, where writers are often themselves ignorant of or deliberately flout the laws of derived science is a pointless endeavor
Right. Like him trying to measure that electronic signal as going at 3 inches per hour because of how he thinks the scientific theory of the electric sea of electron displacement works.

Right.

you guys are correct. i will have to ponder why i wasnt informed when i was 10 yrs old on this matter and why i forgot when i descended into my corporeal body from omniscience..

only because some people don't understand shit, and some people have to say shit over and over again

light only travels "light speed" in a vacuum i.e. no air interference or barriers.

the stuff about the mouse.... blame your weak ass processor.

Hey you were the one claiming the signal moving at light speed.

I already told you is fast BUT NOT LIGHT SPEED. I understand what the writter intended for the issue, YOU on the other hand EXAGERETE the feat

^ Electronic signals do move at light speed. The flow of information moves at light speed.

If it's an electronic signal: it's light speed. If it's an electron discharge: it's going 3 inches per hour. If the writer didn't know the sh1t difference between the two concepts -- much like someone I know -- and he unpurposely conflated the two concepts, it's ambiguous.

You tell me which of the two possibilities is what the writer likely intended?

2 GB PER SECOND

^ The phuck do gigabytes have to do with this?

I'm just pulling your leg.

Is fast but not light speed

Well this is all irrelevant. Point is that neither character will be blitzing each other and they can both react within the necessary time frame to fight each other.

You really have a hard time admiting you're wrong, even on minuscule arguments like this one.

What, they don't look quite like 90 degree turns to me. I mean I'm bad at estimating so it's entirely possible that I'm wrong(and you and I both know that I'm actually one of the best on this site about admitting when I've been wrong about something), but they look like they're just shy of the mark to me.

Are they not close enough, though, to satisfy the argument that he can make sharp turns while moving at speed?

SO, You meassure angles by the OUTSIDE corners?

In this case would not be the INSIDE corner the one that will give you the value? 😂

The inside corners aren't really visible on the scan where you circled them, that's why I was looking at the outside.

Oh I already acknowledged both that it's impressive and that it's EXTREMELY close even if it is shy so don't think I'm trying to say that he can't turn at high speeds(the scan definately shows that), but a true 90 degree turn is something of a benchmark.

....

Not the first time I've been called out for not reading the actual comic. 😮

In fact... that's the second time in two days.

This I blame on darthgoober.

Wait, what did I do 😕 ?

tbh, at the point it's at, i think it's too close to make any real difference.

Even if it's a degree shy it still falls within the realm of possibility within 3 dimensional space, a true 90 degree turn is something that supposed to be pretty much impossible. I mean I know we're talking about comics so "impossible" doesn't really mean all that much(I know for a fact that there are many characters capable of making a 90 degree turn and I fully acknowledge their ability to do so), but given that some writers put more stock in the laws of the natural world than others I think it's important when dealing with milestone feats like this to take the "better safe than sorry" approach.

oh gimme a DAMN break 🙄

So you don't think there's a big difference between someone pulling off something that's supposed to be nearly impossible and something that supposed to just be impossible?
