I mean I know we're talking about comics so "impossible" doesn't really mean all that much(I know for a fact that there are many characters capable of making a 90 degree turn and I fully acknowledge their ability to do so), but given that some writers put more stock in the laws of the natural world than others I think it's important when dealing with milestone feats like this to take the "better safe than sorry" approach.

why is it supposed to be impossible?

or are you talking about momentum and the like?

Yeah, I see some 90's there.

So you don't think there's a big difference between someone pulling off something that's supposed to be nearly impossible and something that supposed to just be impossible?

Yeah, factoring in momentum and the like.

Yeah, factoring in momentum and the like.

if we're going by that rationale then nobody should be able to do it unless they're somehow immune to momentum and the like.

Well like I said, different writers likely have a different take on it because there's no regulation on how far they're allowed to take the Suspension of Disbelieve. I don't have problem with it existing in comics, just with giving credit for it without being absolutely sure. If those are actually 90 degree angles I don't have a problem crediting Supes with the ability(given the nature of his flight it would make perfect sense for him to be someone who could pull it off), it's just that they don't look quite like 90 angels to me(but like I've said numerous times, I'm kinda crappy at estimating).

in the scan posted, look at superman's arc on the bottom right of the middle panel, follow the yellow line and its a 90 degree angle.

The yellow line is obscured by the white boxes he put on it. And unless he put the box at the wrong angle, that's not 90 degrees.

Also you didn't answer, is there a noticable difference between pulling off something that supposed to be nearly impossible and pulling off something that supposed to just be impossible?

Well you know how these things go...

The really funny thing is that the whole discussion is completely off topic because I'm pretty sure Galan was talking about a lack of speed feats for All Star Superman (since he's the one featured in this thread and all...).
