Who's the smartest/wisest/most intelligent comic character?

WHo's the most intelligent? Reed Richards by a mile. But he isn't smarter in every way than the others. Doom is the best schemer, Iron Man is the best engineer, and Batman is the best at thinking on his feet as well as the most analytical. When it comes to Batman vs Reed or Doom you have to ask yourself: who's smarter? Moriarty or Holmes? Well like Doom and Richards Moriarty was the more scientifically accomplished and was better at planning but like Holmes Batman is the better thinker and the more observant. Doom's ego and Reed's absent-mindedness cause them to overlook things that Batman takes note of.

Yeah, I've never seen anyone out do Reed, but I seen
Black Panther come close to besting Doom.

By the strictest definition of "Intelligent", the answer is Reed.

Raw intelligence Richard wins with Doom 2nd and Banner/Stark/PYM 3rd before the rest. They all got various special talents and quirks that makes them better at certain things tho

Hyperstorm is probably a notch above too. Magneto, pym, chuck, arnin Zola, the leader, sinister, apocalypse, kang are in the list's weight class.

Sadly although I recognize the awesome feats of everyone else in the list...

Cho has been showing off his intelligence in combat situations... Breaking down weak points... Showing tactical knowledge etc... He's the new prince of power as defined by athena I think..

He's also tweaked and hacked the tech of some of the brightest out there... And the only one that recognized that hulk was limiting himself in combat

And yes, Spider-man definitely deserves to be on the list. Can think of two times when he found a scientific solution faster than Reed, Parker's smarter than Ock, he's smart to the point where Pym said that he's gotta be smarter than him and Richards said that Pete is as smart as Richards himself was at his age. The guy's got potential to be among the smartest guys in MU.

Utopia's brain trust should be there too.

Agreed, Peter does have the potential. He should dig into it more often instead of wise-cracking. Unrealized potential is almost a part of what spidey represents.

I`d put Apoc in the same ballpark as Banner/Pym/Stark btw

Magneto, Xavier and Sinister are geniuses but not on the level of Banner. Not sure about HE, Leader or Kang

In the field of science and technology is going to be Reed.

In the field of Forensic sciences and solving crime Batman rapes all the egg heads in that list.

When ask who is the smartest or more intelligent you must break it down to branches.

Sure, Reed will top Batman in science....but at the forensic level it goes all way for Batman.

Id say its between Reed and Doom but i give the slight edge to doom because hes more clever in regards to his intelligence and can do everything reed can do. I think Pym should be right behind those two and High Evolutionary would be top of list.I agree Cho is also a contender in list of smarts.

I'd say they are. Marvel just throws more hype at the physicists than at the geneticists and tacticians. But in a list that includes parker, beast and black panther, mags, chuck and sinister should be mentioned, even if they are below BB.

HE has transcended his humanity, his intelect goes beyond human scope into cosmic awareness. I think people in marvel don't mention him as the most inteligent man because they don't consider him human anymore. Even doom was in awe of relatively simple devices he created.

the leader is supposed to be a match for banner right? Id say Kang is in the richards and doom league.
