Not saying I hate a character if its powers doesn't make sense 😛 I'm just saying I have a hard time respecting the thoughts put behind it. To me, even in a fictional world, logic is everything.

The other day on an external forum I made a character with teleportation, superstrength, partial telekinesis and immovability. I don't mind characters that have an "illogical" combination of powers, but I do get a great deal respect for people that is able to tie the powers together. I did this with my character, which makes her powers make more sense than they would if you just write "Teleportation, superstrength, telekinesis and immovability".

I wrote an elaborate explanation on how she could do each of the things she does and what relevance to everything each power had. Everything followed a theme I set for the character at whole, even though they appear quite different from eachother at a mere glance on each power speperately. My elaboration would make people understand that they aren't that different.

That sounds not unlike what I did for a few characters around here, notably Floor 17 and The Valley of The Breeds.

Darkness manipulation

Dusk mode powers: speed evolves into teleportation
He can use dark magics
And saying elemental MAGIC clashes with DARK and LIGHT doesnt really make sense. FF has been doing it for years and they arent bankrupt...

Maybe people didn't get the thematic element there? I mean, if it's something that's very clearly based off Final Fantasy, but you're trying to prevent plaigarism, it makes sense. In this case Black Magic, which tends to correlate to fire, ice, or lightining, is equivalent to Dark magics?

Powers/abiltiies are one category of a character I never really had much tolerance over...because in real life they do not exist so there is no such thing as a form of realism of any king of powers. Especially if one had variations, it still does not bother me. You think it is impossible? Prove it to me. Prove to me it's impossible to have a variation of telekenetic powers, energy based attack, and Dark mage powers. See, no one can't...Because the concept is fictional and in a fictional world, anything is possible...

Hence why we put balances and limits to powers/abilities to prevent people from god modding or being to strong for certain RPs if their purposes are to inflict harm.

I don't really see myself as a winner of this tournament but more of a contender.

Can we create spectator characters who aren't fighters? Just for diversity, and an audience?

Or do the specators know about it before hand but not the fighters who were summoned so suddenly? 😛

Maybe Pintar can randomly summon them like he did the fighters. 😛

Yea because in my characters bio i said i chose to join. Should i rather have put he was summoned?
