The Qu'ran is just a book. It's made of paper and written in ink. It's nothing special. It's nothing at all. It's nigh-worthless. If someone's burns your Qu'ran, smack them and then go by another one at your local UAE version of Chapters.

But it just puts CO2 in the air. 😄

If it is not an unusual book, then what does it matter if it is burned or not.

It's aholy book for millions of people .It a matter of respect and dignity toward people that embrace it regards of it's content but I was clearing the point that Quran is full of wisdome that will make u inspired by the good teaching's and sceince facts , I would never burn any book that matter's to any human .

context:
"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter... But if they cease, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful... If they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (2:190-193).

Well .I really proud of being a muslim and UAE citizen my beloved home 🙂 we practice Islam fair with no extrem but modesty and justice This is REAL ISLAM .

"It may be that God will grant love (and friendship) between you and those whom ye (now) hold as enemies. For God has power (over all things), and God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

God does not forbid you, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loves those who are just"

That makes sense from Muslim to Muslim, and it is wrong to do something that you know will hurt someone. However, if I was cleaning out an old storage shed that was abandoned by the renter, and I though a Ouran in a burn barrow, would that be offensive to you? The Quran has no meaning to me, and I am not doing it out of spite. How would you feel?

Then do it as long as u dont intend to hurt any one .Allah (god) has save the quran for more than thousand and five hundred years and there are millions of copys still saved and spread around the world and that would not make any differnce to me or any muslim .

" We have, without doubt sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)."

How do you feel about people burning the bible?

That's a pretty stupid reductionist argument. I can justify burning people to death on the same basis.

The same feelings u would have if someone burns a Buddha book ^_^

Well, you'd need to evaluate the claims. I'd say to most people books are indeed more worthless than humans anyways, but obviously potentially you could make the same argument...

I would not care. Why not just tell me what you think?

If you were cleaning out an old storage shed, would it not be easier to get out your phonebook, make a phone call to someone who may want whatever book you're trying to get rid of and give it to them rather then burn it?

I mean if I came across a bunch of religious stuff or hockey stuff and didn't want it, I'd probably just get out my phone book and donate it to a church or a school respectively instead of burning the shite.

Same with food, I mean if you found food and didn't want it would you just burn it? I would think giving it to someone who wants it would be most logical.

Actually, if the food had been sitting in a shed that long, then getting rid of it would be logical.

my house smells like pee

It depends, canned food usually stays quite well. Regardless the point was that you could just give stuff away to people that want it rather then burn it eg. books, clothes, unexpired food. If they really want it they'll come and pick it up from you so you wouldn't have to do much.

that pastor played the hell out of the media and they fell for it hook, line, and sinker. That's the worst part about it. The news people saw dollar signs and went right in for the bait. He could have burned a million books and if it hadn't been televised it would have been a non-factor that people would slowly forget about. Instead this guy is a worldwide anti-hero.

It was nothing more then a hypothetical, to get at how Fatima was thinking. Personally I would sale it, or keep it. I like books. I was trying to find out if intent mattered.
