STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION - Desecration

Galder will go ahead and proceed into the courtyard ahead, moving quickly and very ready to jump into action. He brings Rianna's orange lightsaber to one hand and his own blue to the other, deeming his blasters inappropriate.

You're about to run into the courtyard, but your danger sense suddenly explodes and you duck back behind a rock, just before a number of blaster bolts hit the ground right where you were standing. Rura and Taiza also duck to the side; not as quickly as you do, obviously, but still quick enough to not get hit.

Galder stays behind the rock for a moment, then tries to peer out from behind it, ready to deflect incoming fire with one of his sabers, both of which he has activated.

No more shots come, but you hear a laugh.

"No need to hide, we know you're there," someone says, an unfamiliar voice.

"I'm not hiding, I'm taking cover, *******," Galder says. If he feels it is safe to do so, Galder will emerge from cover, lighsabers held like shields before him.

"Hiding," they respond firmly. "But no one will shoot you. For now."

You sense no immediate danger. The courtyard is large but the exits are limited - the one you came in, and one on either side. There is quite a large number of people here, all armed with blasters. Towards the back is a sort of dais, and the person you assume to be the leader is standing on it.

Your senses do not like this.

And Rianna is near the dais. She appears to be unconscious.

Galder takes note of Rianna's position.

"Who are you people?" Galder asks. He does not approach the crowd and he keeps his lightsabers lit. "What's going on?"

"Pirate clans need a base to work from," he simply says. "What better place than a barely-known planet that can't support life?"

Galder nearly facepalms but remembers that he is holding lightsabers.

"Ugh, seriously? I was almost expecting cultists or zealots or something a little more... sinister," Galder says. "What clans am I addressing? Who am I talking to as leader? Answers, people."

"We haven't got a name. We prefer it that way. You may call me Dusan, though, and I am their leader," he says, taking an over-exaggerated bow. His eyes never leave you as he does, though. "You wanted something more sinister? Do you often take things at face value, then?"

That sense of the Dark Side, but twisted, is incredibly strong here. Also, he is not frightened of your lightsabers at all.

"Uh, no..." Galder says. "Less sinister is probably good for my health. Any reason you guys have my friend unconscious here?"

"We don't like people knowing we're here. Usually we kill anyone who stumbles across this place outright," he replies, shrugging.

"Her threats get annoying after a while," a nearby minion says.

"Silence," Dusan says with a glare in the speaker's direction.

"Alright. Well look, I have no quarrel with you guys. I'm pissed that you shot us down but I've got another agenda here and it's not you and your flunkies, Dusan. I'm looking for something."

"Something? Like what?"

"A holocron," Galder says simply, to gage Dusan's reaction. "Seen it?"

"And just what could you want with such a thing?" he responds, looking at you suspiciously.

"To take it and learn from it," Galder says.

How many thugs in here besides Dusan?

"And you think there's anything you can learn from it?" he says in a mocking tone.

A few dozen. Most look to just be low-level thugs, but there are stronger ones scattered throughout.

Galder is taken aback by this, but has a new theory about just who, exactly, he is talking to.

"Oh, excuse me," Galder says. "I forgot I was talking to Dusan, King of the Pirates with No Name, legendary Sith Lord. What exactly could YOU learn from it?"

"Oh, there are a great number of things..." he says, grinning nastily.
