STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION - Desecration

"Perfect," Galder says, sliding into the passenger seat and relighting his cigarette. "Once around the planet, driver."

Taiza rolls her eyes at you but starts the speeder moving again.

It takes a bit longer to get through the rest of the mountain range, and suddenly you're faced with another large plain, and some sort of ruins at the end of it. You can see a few starships near the ruins, and your senses tell you that this is where you want to go.

However, you see no patrols. Odd. You'd think that there'd be more, this close to their 'base'...

"Maybe they weren't looking for people..." Galder says.

Anything notable about the starships? Can Galder see the laser batteries that brought us down?

Nothing unusual or that stands out about the ships - just a motley collection of starships and small freighters, the sort generally favored by various flavors of scum all over the galaxy.

And you don't see any weapon emplacements, but with how this place is, that's not too surprising. Hiding something like that is easy here. You don't sense any danger, though.

"Sally forth," Galder says. "The only way we're going to find out what these people are doing here is by getting up in their business. Get ready to blast..."

"Is this something you make a hobby of?" Taiza comments, grumbling a bit.

"You have no idea," Rura says, checking his rifle.

And off across the wasteland you go...weird. You don't sense anything.

Galder does not like that one bit, and will instead rely on his normal senses to spot danger.

You can't help if this is what it must be like not being Force-sensitive...

Your eyes spot nothing out of the ordinary, and you hear nothing but the wind and Taiza grumbling under her breath. The further you go, though, the colder it gets.

Galder will be thankful for his leather jacket and zips it up as the coldness only gets colder.

"This isn't good," Galder mutters.

"What isn't good?" Rura asks. Taiza doesn't comment, though it looks like she's shivering a bit.

"I can't sense anything," Galder says.

"Oh. That's...huh," Rura replies. He seems perplexed and a bit worried. "Has that ever happened before?"

Galder thinks back.

"Not that I know of," Galder says. "I know the Dark Side clouds things but this is a bit much."

"You know much more about this sort of thing than I do..." Rura comments.

"Of course it'd fail right when it'd be most useful..." Taiza mutters.

"Must have to do with the ruins," Galder says. "Curious indeed."

"Got any ideas how you want to approach this?" Taiza asks.

Galder shakes his head.

"There are goin' to be too many people to take on at once, I'm thinkin," Galder says. "We could try bluffing our way through. You've got a lot of moxy, Tai, I'm sure you could talk your way out of something..."

Taiza gives you a strange look.

"Yeah, I'm pretty good at that...they'll be suspicious though. Can't you do some hand-waving and use the Force to trick us through?"

Galder scoffs.

"The Force is a weapon for me," Galder says. "I'm not any good with the subtleties of it."

Speaking of... can Galder still use the Force right now? Even if he can't sense anything?

"Fine, just thought I'd ask," she replies.

Playing around with some rocks shows that you can, though lacking your ability to rely on your senses means you're not as precise as usual.
