Ok.

So back to the point in hand.

BM firing antimatter is no surefire way for him to win

I 100% agree with that statement and even take it a step further and say that it's far more likely that it WON'T spell an easy win for him.

*Seriously carv, while the logic is sound and supported on panel, it's also contradicted on panel. And with inconsistent writing like that, we have to keep in mind that this forum leans more towards an "at their best" view of the characters. Yes it's possible and that possibility might be worth discussing, but it shouldn't be put forth as being definitive by any stretch of the imagination so what would happen if it were being treated as if were just another type of energy attack is also worth discussing.

Adam's antimatter blasts won't do much to Superman. I say Superman tanks them like a champ, then punches his lights out.
Superman is above this guy in every aspect imo, I don't see how Adam even wins one. He needs a team.

Superman 10/10.

so your saying that there is a chance that Anti Matter will spell an easy win for Adam?

Superman wins 10/10.
All out serious King Shazam couldn’t do anything to a Superman that wanted to just talk.
Then he easily overpowered both supergirl and an amped king Shazam. The same King Shazam that easily defeated BA and the DC Gods.
Fought apex lex to a stand still. I just don’t see how anyone below cosmic level threats in comics can stand up to him one on one.

Superman is on a whole different level than everyone else now.

Sure(assuming Supes got hit with it which is no guarantee) because there have been those times when DC treated the matter/antimatter reaction as being uber and totally unaffected by durability. In those instances, Supes would have been immediately destroyed had he actually made contact with it.

But that assumes Marvel antimatter is the same as DC antimatter.

When they're in fact treated quite differently

Yes but Marvel's treatment of anti-matter doesn't alter DC characters anymore than DC's writing alters Marvel characters. Marvel can give resistance to antimatter to any/every character they want, but that resistance doesn't transfer to DC characters who are written as being ultra vulnerable to it. And again, I free acknowledge that DC now treats antimatter more like Marvel so it's far more likely that someone like Supes WILL have a level of resistance.

If DC decides to step forward and voluntarily say that any of their positive matter characters make contact with antimatter that there's no chance of them surviving, then that's that. The limits DC places upon it's own characters are not affected by Marvel refusing to place such limitations upon it's own heroes. Marvel heroes don't gain super speed just because DC gives it to a large portion of it's heroes, and DC heroes don't gain Marvel heroes resistance to antimatter.

But Marvel antimatter doesn't gain DC antimatter's properties.....

Very, very true.
