Agreed. I wish Bioware just gave us that DLC for free like when we got some DLC in ME2 for free when we downloaded the Cerberus Network but no. That's not the case here anymore. I hate it when people taste money just once and decide to screw people over to get more.

There's Standard, Collector's and Digital, the latter two are basically the same except Digital is downloaded from PC.
From Ashes comes with Collector's.
Not that confusing.
I have no idea whether the From Ashes DLC is part of the Collector's Edition or not. The sites say it does but the employees at Gamestop keep telling me it's not. If not then who the heck is this new squadmate if it ain't the Prothean and what's this extra mission? Either Gamestop screwed everything up or that ME wiki is wrong. If Gamestop did get it wrong, I'm gonna hate spending $10 on something I already bought.

Gamestop employees are not infallible.

They already developed the character before launch though.Which means you are not paying for the whole product, especially concerning the fact a Prothean is very important to the story of Mass Effect.
Which means EA is just milking you out of your money.
The only other explanation is that they finished the DLC after already churning out all the standard disks so they couldn't just add it in. Otherwise I call bullshit.
