It's always maddening to me that they always seemed to pair these two up as 'rivals' in the Marvel vs Capcom games. They have basically nothing in common whatsoever--other than Wolverine having a lot of training in Japan.
Ryu vs Cyclops is better, but even then, despite them having ranged capabilities in common, Cyclops has none of Ryu's high meta physical stats.
most of the crossgenre seems to be high level stuff
also, I think ryu and wolverine are very balanced opponents

Not that you watched the video, Ryu is faster, and can warp in that version. He can also hit quite hard as he trades blows with Akuma, you know the guy that sinks islands with a punch? Bullets also had no effect on him.

The only advantage Wolverine has is that he can heal, and he'll need it after the beating he gets. Ryu's traded blows with Akuma, someone who can shatter islands and mountains in a hit. He's not losing to Logan.
I want someone to make the thread if they're silly enough to have Logan fight Ryu in his most powerful incarnation. Meaning his averaged out highest in all showings.
