Give us your insight, let the board know why think he wins.

X-man deconstructs him

x-man stomps since legion can't control his own powers properly and is easily mindscrewed. in terms of concept, legion is the most impressive as his body can aparantly manifest an infinity of superpowers. I like his looks better too, but david's persona is as feeble as it gets.

When the hell did Legion become capable of warping reality? A threat to the entire Universe? That was as random as Sentry vs. Molecule Man. He had powerful telekinetic, telepathic and teleporting capabilities but nothing anywhere close to that as I recall.

new mutants good friend

😛

i agree very random

He's probably been capable of that since we found out that he wasn't just making new personalities, but every time someone died/he killed that his brain locked in on, he gained not just their personality, but their powers as well. Without us ever seeing it, guy gained over 10,000 new abilities and personalities, including an alien that cried blood and flew through stars to absorb their heat or something like that....warping reality is easily within his power set.

That depends entirely on the parameters. Receiving random personalities from here and there can easily explain the new powers his developed but reality warping, a threat to the entire Universe? That shit is so out of left field. Yes, even if he absorbed a vaguely descriped alien personality.

His main powers were telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation/time manipulation. Other than that, his shown super strength, super human durability, flight, pyrokinesis different kinds of vision and shit like that. Being a Universal level reality warper is a far cry from that.

I've been flipping through the New Mutant's latest volume and he seems to have been taken to the next level.

I don't understand this fetish writers have with incredibly powerful but crazy/unstable beings. It's reached the point that they aren't special or unique, but just gimmicks.

It's out of left field, but not out of the realm of possibility or plausibility. Whose to say he didn't absorb another alien from some far reach of the universe who treated reality like a plaything?

Possible? Perhaps. Likely? Not really. I'd wager there aren't a lot of reality warping Universal level threats floating around in the Universe. Much less ones that die without it being noticed. You might as well have him gain the powers of Reynolds when he was killed if that's how his abilities work. Makes more sense to me.

Question: Can the crazy Legion access he powers of any of the other personalities currently?

Based on what I read, the crazy Legion was treated like a separate personality. The personality with the ultimate power. Depending on the answer, the power could be viewed as inherent to him.

I thought current legion consolidated a lot of his personality or at least got them to work in a cohesive way which is what triggered the sudden control.

Now we need to sit back, and see if Marvel will do anything with X-Man. He has been dubbed as a Mutant God, with near Limitless/Omnipotent powers.

Really I am not surprised about Legion, if you are an Omega level Psi Mutant you are not really bounded by any restrictions. This feat is ridiculous. Legion didn’t just manipulated reality, he wiped out Elder Gods from existence. We don’t really know who, or which Elder Gods. But I can assure you those are being are equivalent to Skyfaters/Great Beasts.

This fight is no longer competitive, Legion wipes out X-Man from existence.

IIRC, the Technarchy members said he manipulated reality.

I know.

This Legion is supposedly the True Personality. And the last time he flared up like this, was back in Legion Quest when he discovered his ability to manipulate time/space.

It could be that he now has a firmer grasp over time/space, to the point of manipulating reality on the whim. I am still in awe, at the fact that he applied this reality warp to kill a group of Elder Gods.

Staggering feat, against high opposition. /shrugs

Like I said, completely out of left field. Turning him into a crazy reality warping Universal level threat? I grew tired of those after Wanda and Sentry.

He is an Omega Mutant.

I for one think, it took Marvel long enough to finally give one Omega Mutant his dues. Seriously there was never a need to make Scarlet Witch to be this ultra powerful reality warper, when they’ve been prepping out Omega Mutants to be the closest thing humanity have to reach cosmic hood.

Omega Mutant? That term in itself means sh*t. Just like Gods, Elder Gods, etc. mean sh*t.

If attaching labels like Omega Mutants justifies reality warping, I'll begin preparing for Iceman taking out Galactus.
