Also: Legit issue here. I'm playing as a female in Skyrim and I want to get the married achievement, but I don't really wanna marry a guy (just a personal issue there lol) and I know you can have gay/lesbian marriages, so I was just wondering how you go about doing that?
Spoiler:
Go to Riften's Temple of Mara and you will find out how. I've never been married in this game so I don't know all of the things that are involved in this actual wedding. Anyhoo they'll tell you all you need to know at the temple.

Perfect! That helps, will be doing that as well next time I sign on!

So Is it true that Cicero is the crazy Arena fanboy from Oblivion that keeps saying by Azura? I read somewhere that he killed the Arena Champion, which if anyone played Oblivion, happened to be your character. I chuckled when I read that. That little clown tagged along with me when I went through an Oblivon gate and was killed by one strike from a Dremora.

Cicero is:

a. Not a Bosmer.

and

b. Obviously not four hundred years old.

It was some other Grand Champion, not you.

You are all but stated to be

Spoiler:
Sheogorath, Daedric Prince of Madness, by the god himself.

Does anyone have a favorite house in the game? I really like the one in Windhelm. I admit that I have yet to buy all of the houses that this game offers, but are there any that are nicer? Aside from the one in Markath which I didn't like as much.

Ive not actually been able to get the one in Windhelm, I have the bug where the Steward keeps telling me theres a problem when I want to buy it.

I probably would have to say the Archmage quarters although thats not technically a house, if you mean one you buy then Riften for usefulness and possibly Solitude for looks. I actually quite like the Markath one but then, I like Dwarven ruins and their appearance.

Is it true that there is a bug that moves items not in chests around in your house? I heard someone lost an item because he had it outside a chest at his house and the game moved it through a wall. Anyone had any issues with this?

Yeah the bug is real. I lost a piece of armor that way.

^ If it's dropped on the floor I believe. I haven't yet lost the armor that I put on the mannequin, though the armor pieces on the mannequin do not appear unless you remove a piece of armor.

I have issues where, when I attempt to place an item on a book stand, in a display or any other showcase it fails to remain in that location. Here's the thing. I discovered that when you drop an item from your inventory to the floor, and pick it up and place said item on display, that it will go back to the original place that it was dropped (the floor). I noticed this when I left the house and went back in to see if the item would still be where I placed it last. It wasn't, and I began to panic, but later found it where I originally dropped it, which was a floor down. I guess they key is to try to drop it perfectly in the display the first time around, and it will likely stay there.

As for losing things placed in chests, I have yet to lose an item this way. The good thing is that Bethesda is apparently working on a new update due out this week sometime, and have pledged to support the game as best they can.

The Wolf Queen Awakened is a very interesting little quest. I was hoping for a more in depth experience concerning the Wolf Queen, after all of all of the Elder Scroll mini novels written throughout all of their games, The Wolf Queen was the best read... At least in my opinion. In every game, I find myself collecting all of the books, with Wolf Queen on them. So far I have collected 5 in Skyrim.

This game is huge...it will take a forever to beat the main quest. lol.

Spoiler:
I personally recommend going through the main quest first, or at least having it be one of the first things you completely finish. The only reason for this is because then you can get some of the bigger and better shouts that prove not only really useful, but are some of the most badass ones out there and use them during all the sidequests.

Concerning the placed items in homes thing, I found that no matter how you put an item down, half the time it ends up on the floor when I return. I put my "insect" in a jar down and find out that even though it was perfectly still when I left, its scattered about the floor along with my previously finely placed metal ingots and shield.....

So, what I found out that, is when you come back and find it this way, dont give up and just put your things back where you wanted them and they should stay put. So it seems they need to be placed a second time.

I have only had one item disapear after I placed it, I stacked my Priest masks in a row and the Wooden one vanished while the others got strewn about the floor. I spent a long time looking about my Archmage tower for it, seeing if it had spawned by the door, gone under furniture, I even used a fireball to knock a few things about in hopes of it coming loose but nope....in the end I found it randomly appear right where it was before after a few hours of play and returning to the room a couple of times.

Ive not had any problems with mannequins yet, theres a glitch behind the mannequins in the Solitude house that makes the wall mesh look a bit strange.

At the moment, I have over 500 defence with my full daedric+Dragonplate helm on (I dont like the Daedric one) and I run about with a two handed sword, using the heavy armour and two hander to boost my level further (being a wizard as I said before, this is strange but my magic skills are max), if I put ebony armour on I can get like over 600 defence (although I think 560 is the max that gets counted) so only Ancient Dragons can cause me any real harm. I may change back to glass or something simply because I like being able to die funnily enough.

You may find that even with Glass armor that you may still be able to dominate just about any NPC that the game throws at you. Well that depends also if you invested heavily on the Light Armor perks. I found out that there are two ways to buy the house in Windhelm, perhaps even three, but be careful because if you don't do it the right way you may end up getting the glitched house.

Spoiler:
Do not fight the Butcher in your house, and make sure that you solve the entire murder case surrounding the house, or frame the Castle Mage. I accidently mess the quest up before solving the entire Blood on the ice mystery, and wound up with blood all over the floor, and human bone scattered in my alchemy/enchantment lab. As you know, there is no way to pick up human remains in this game, aside from skulls. Now I have to reload, and go back several hours and complete the completed once again, so that I can get a clean house. Which so happens to be the nicest house in the game, in my opinion.

Hey by the way, which race do you guys think is the best in terms of all around effectiveness?

Thanks for the tips, also onto your question I would say it depends on your class/type of character you want to play i guess. Obviously since I wanted to be a magic user, the High Elf was both lorewise and "power" wise the best choice, the ability to have an almost unlimited mana bar for 10-20 seconds+ or w/e the time limit is can be an insane bonus especially early game when spells, especially high end ones seem to cost a ton. This becomes useless late game when you can make your main spells free though.

I think the Orc Berserker power is probably the most effective "warrior" power, double damage plus extra protection (halves enemy damage?) is quite nice.

Overall though I doubt that it matters. Having a slight bonus for short periods of time is never important enough to change play style imo. I think some characters start with higher stats in some areas than others but I have yet to see that make a difference.

Yeah the racial differences arr lessened in this game

How does an ancient dragon rank in terms of damage output in the game?
Cause I have a Daedric armor with 672 rating and it can still kill me easily.

I dont think you can do much to survive its attacks head on. I think the max armour that actually gives protection is under 600 so 672 is already more than enough for max defence. Your best bet is to let it get distracted by someone or something and then hit its sides/tail. Just come prepared, their not "easy" if you want to melee them.

Being a mage i just spam lightning storm or incinerate blasts at range safe and sound while a couple of Dremora lords halt it.

It's not a problem cause I can kill it with 3-4 hits cause I have a daedric mace with 270 and a daedric sword with 208 damage.
I was only wondering if there are more powerful enemies....
