I actually kinda like the ponies. Not a full-fledged brony, but there's elements of the fandom that are kinda cool (some of the music remixes are a guilty pleasure of mine, for example). But obviously the tone and visual style are a bit different, to say the least. Anyone taking exception to someone saying that MLP is out of place in Skyrim, well, like I said....come on.
I actually have to be careful. Like, if I were a brony, I'd embrace it as I do with any of my nerd interests. But I've never seen a single episode. But I've absorbed enough knowledge of it from the internet that I can sound like I know a lot about it (to anyone who doesn't). And of course, bronies aren't the...how shall I put this...most respected fandom in popular culture. So I don't mind taking sh*t for my nerd interests, but I only want to take sh*t for the ones I'm actually, legitimately, into.
So I slipped once with a Fluttershy reference or something, and was working damage control the rest of the night. Tricky stuff.
Looks like we'll (Ps3 users) be getting Dragonborn next year. mmm
Meh.
