Marvel's Newest Event - Fear Itself

oh, totally. people are way more calm than the media wants them to be. if you go by what they show on the news, then sure, everyone should be terrified and freak out over trivial things. But in general, the protests people have are calm and collected, etc. The government, the media establishment, all of that, is what is crazy, and there was a great missed opportunity here, though I guess I should wait to see how the series turns out before I get to cynical. lol, oh I appologize for how derailed this thread might get...

Maybe not so derailed after all. Talking about an overhyped event called Fear Itself while discussing

At least a little ironic if not necessarily on topic.

Thanks 🙂

I don't know how serious to take it sometimes, I mean, comics are a lot of fun and not always to be taken so literally, but when they come out and say "this is going to reflect the world and have relevance" and it comes up short, I don't think I'm holding them to too high a standard.

Odin yelling at the watcher was amusing though, so there is that

Kratos for Absorbing Man.

This Servant of Skadi thing feels like a mix of Blackest Night with Apocalypse's Horsemen.

To me at least.

So the worthy are a collection of Marvel's toughest bricks? This will be good indeed.

The best brick there has the least impressive looking hammer.

😠

The orange brick looks amazing.

Let's go Alpha Flight 🙂

Greg Pak: I'm [also] having way too much fun with Sasquatch. I've been writing The Hulk for years, so I'm very familiar with gamma-powered scientists who transform into hugely powerful creatures. But Sasquatch's vibe is entirely different from the Hulk's, which is a great challenge and a ton of fun.

haermm

Yeah he kind of contradicted himself

I'm prepared to see Sasquatch throw Toronto on to the Worthy and take the hammer for himself.

Just kidding... unless I'm right. Then I'm a prophet.

I like that they want to make Guardian a bigger player in the big picture though. I hope whatever changes they mentioned re: Puck aren't too drastic... he still needs to be Puck.

It's possible, as pretty much majority of the worthy are just bricks.

"Fred Van Lente: You'll see quite a bit of that in the first issue, when they defend Vancouver from one of the most powerful of The Serpent's Worthy, who has his own army backing him up!"

I wonder who that is? Better not be Attuma.

Yeah I like Guardian and I think they retconned him being a cyborg which isn't a bad thing. I agree concerning Puck as the last time we saw him he became the new ruler of Hell.

It's Attuma. Vancouver? Ocean? Personal army?

Gotta be Attuma.
