Why do you think their durability isn't up there? Goku took the worst beat down in comic history and was still willing to fight. No one has ever been through what goku or frieza went through in their one fight. Frieza dn goku fight lasted for about 10 to 15 comics with them tanking off the chain stuff. Hit through moutains, goku hitting frieza with the 20 times kayoken kamehameha wave (rememeber, kayoken times 1 had enough power to shed a planet)... hit by atomic bombs, hit by thousands of high 100 ton punches, and the list goes on. Hell, frieza was also hit by the spirit bomb.No one has been through what frieza been through in a fight and having the ability to still be alive.
I know guys like buu are insanely durable...but I just based it on my gut feel, which can certainly be very off-base

No character has withstood and taken as many hits as frieza or goku in one fight. Nukes, atomic bombs, planet shaking punches, I can name 3 instance for each on when frieza had to take ALL of this "in the beginning" of the fight.
Later on during the series, yes, frieza was a flee to these peeps but that doesn't mean that frieza is a weakling compared to marvel and dc best, that means that the people frieza is a flee to are UBER.

They are arguing Sonic beating him now. But I don't remember the Nukes. My thing was Frieza was fighting at such a low level with Goku, he should have ended that so early. No other match in my memory had such a percentage gap.
Mystic Gohan would be great. I like Gohan. Put him up against Thanos maybe. I'm sure you'd think it would be a stomp, but Odin would be too much I think... hmm...

What character doesn't hold back? Frieza could have ended the entire dbz saga if he didn't hold back from the beginning but he wanted to play with his victims and fight them at 1% of his power. Goku could have ended frieza when he went super saiyan but he decided to allow frieza to power up... etc...

and you're right, thanos durability is pretty high. But just because he took hits from Odin, doesn't mean all of those hits were planet-busting level.

Exactly my point. We know Odin has the power to bust a galaxy. Does that mean all his blasts are galaxy busting level? No. Just like freiza has the power to bust a planet but that doesn't mean all of his attacks are planet busting power.

You are just ignoring what has already been shown. A person with a higher power level can generate more power than a person with a weaker power level (common sense). Roshi having a power level of 100 (moon busting) stated that goku was more powerful than him and he also stated that goku kamehameha wave was more powerful than his (moon busting) and goku had a power level of 350.Now let's use common sense black bolt. If a person have a power level of 350 (over moon busting) and he is able to generate more power than someone with a power level of 300, that mean that no matter how small the gap is, the person with a higher power level can generate far more energy than someone with a weaker power level.
Now if someone with a power level of 100 can destroy a damn moon, what could someone in the thousands do (use your noggin). If someone in the 100s can destroy a moon and I POSTED proof that even though a gap is small power level wise their is still a big advantage... imagine what someone in the millions can do (use your brain). That is why frieza was able to destroy a planet with his finger... because of the significance of his power. That's why frieza was able to split a planet in half while toying around and not even using a percentage of his power.
When you reach the billions... you have people that can scream and destroy planets. Open their mouths and destroy cities. You are REALLY lowballing them and you are ignoring the power level system.
Answer this (and use your brain please, I know its there)... do you think vegeta saiyan saga could generate more power than first form frieza.

Yeah, odin would be too much for any dbz character (and thanos) and superman and goku would always have history, no matter what I say. Ever since wizard made that comic of goku one shotting superman, the internet went into a rage.

So since first form frieza can generate more power than vegeta during the saiyan saga who was a planet buster, what does that tell you? I'm thinking that you have to have more than planetary level durability to survive an attack from him.

I meant the posters as well. I've actually seen this very same match posted on an anime/manga forum, and most agreed that Thanos wins. I can't remember what forum it was though. It was a while ago. Mangafox maybe? It's more common to find comic fans who also enjoy manga/anime than the other way around. I usually notice more reasonable answers coming from the comic guys due to that.
