Not true.

Goku was stated as faster than lightning as a child back in the Dragon Ball Manga, during IIRC his training with Kami.

Lightning travels up to half the speed of light. And Goku has gotten literally millions of times more powerful since then.

He also has a light speed reaction feat when he moved and put on Roshi's sunglasses before the light from Tien's Solar Flare ever reached his eyes. Also back during Dragonball.

As for Superman? Jesus christ peeps. The guy does insanely complex things in short order. Like building an entire cities in seconds. Fighting at superspeed is an afterthought in comparison.

See what OV said.

As for the solar flare thing prove the solar flare goes light speed. And even then did he grab for them after Tien said it?

There are also several times Goku used Instant Transmission because it was the fastest way to get around at "the speed of light". So that should say that perfectly.

They screwed up the IT. It is supposed to be light speed travel but they changed it to actual teleportation between dimensions.

Neither do DBZ characters.Or anything close to it...

Why don't they when they have easily outpaced objects going faster than light.

As for the lightning thing, its true, goku was stated during db that he would be trained to move faster than lightning and at one point they had goku outpacing lightning (when popo put the crown on goku head that attract lightning.).

They have never done this.

Manga or Anime?

Manga or Anime?
Anime.

In the ceel saga(and in magna I think) he teleported Cell, who was about to explode, to king kai's planet in another dimension.

You got it all wrong buddy. Instant transmission is exactly what the name of it is "instantaneous movement". That is why goku is able to travel millions of light years instantly.

You all should know these things when debating about dbz. The light speed quote that goku said was a american dub.

Its not light speed, that was an american dub that you all are using. Stop talking about it.

Then show us a japanese scan or japanese anime translation showings us its actual teleportation.

I mean Goku says it only allows him to go light speed.

How do you know? You know next to nothing about dbz. I have proven this a long time ago that you don't know what you are talking about.

Hey kids! NemeBro here for an episode of "Spot the Fallacy!"

Can any of you spot the fallacy in Carver's post?

Jimmy: "Mr. NemeBro, is it an Ad Hominem fallacy?"

That's right Jimmy! It IS an Ad Hominem fallacy!

An Ad Hominem fallacy can best be described as "an argument against the man, not the point," notice how Carver does not really address Creshosk's point at all, merely claiming he is wrong because he hates DBZ.

While this may be true, it however does not invalidate Creshosk's point at all, all arguments should be valued based on the posts points themselves, not the beliefs of the poster.

Well kids, that's all the time we have for today. Tune in next time for another "Spot the Fallacy!"

If you read the manga you would know this. Goku never said anything about it being light speed "in the manga" he said instantaneous movement.

Do not argue with me about dbz because you "will" lose.

No need to try and get testy, I've already proven several things in this thread that were thrown around wrong.

Because like he said you attacked the person, instead of answering the point.

Instant Transmission is teleportation. Goku's used it as such several times in the cartoon. He even pinpoints the kai of someone he's going to teleport to before performing it. To say it's just light speed travel is ludicrous given it's actual canonical applications.

I know. Its used as teleportation. But when Goku first got it he said it was just light speed travel. But it was changed in-series to teleportation.
