Cross Genre Match #21: Frieza vs Thanos

It was never "stated" they were faster than light, but I guess the higher end ones could be. Not sure Frieza casually moved that fast. Comic characters dodge lasers constantly.

Sorry about that, but it was never stated on panel that it was just light speed.
In the anime dub it was, which isn't canon. But the anime did say "instant transmission" as well. You were using anime so it became confusing to pick and choose.

From what I see in the manga it says teleport and "moving fast", applications don't matter themselves but a teleport and moving fast can be seen as similar things in fights. I guess that one is so/so.

No.Its not far fetched to say they "approach" it. But they never reach it.

And why is this when goku as a child with a power level of 70 was hitting the speed of sound easily?

Lol... surfer was crossing galaxys almost instantly and we saw him. Gladiator flew 100 times the speed of light and we saw him. Think blackbolt, THINK.

Again, why was piccolo so suprised and SHOCKED when raditz dodged the blast?

We saw him because panels show him during flight. And theres proof he was going that fast.

Because it wasn't going light speed. Or near it. We saw it. It took a couple seconds to get miles away.

You can't just claim it was going light speed. It was obviously going no where near that.

I'll rather say we certainly don't have proof if they do or not

but I'm ok with saying they approach it

There's an enormous difference between the speed of sound and the speed of light.

as there is an enormous difference between child goku and ssj goku

In order to help you claim black bolt, you have to show me one blast in comics that was shown as invisible. There are plenty of blast in comics... show me an invisible blast... lol.

I will be waiting.

How about this, if I show you goku or frieza dodging a invisible blast, will that help you?

I will be waiting for the scans proving that surfer, superman, and wonder woman have ftl reflexes and I will be waiting for that invisible blast...lol.

"With so much filler in the DBZ, it's kinda hard debating it on KMC."

1: They didn't start using actual power levels until DBZ.
2: The speed of sound is only like less then a mile per second.Much less. The speed of light is expontially faster then that.

Yeah. I'd say they never reach it.But come close.

the filler doesn't change any characteristics of any character...so not sure why that would impact debating.

It sure is and kid goku was surpassing that. A super saiyan would laugh at kid gokus speed.

To an extent, although there are many inconsistencies.

Ummm...when did I claim their blasts were invisible?

Except they never dodged invisible blasts. And invisible still doesn't mean near FTL 😬

What invisible blast?

has any of the filler been used in the debates though?

We still got the power level scaling so your post is irrelevant.

Lol... I guess you don't get what I am telling you. I asked you to tell me why piccolo was so shocked at raditz dodging that blast.

Kid goku moving far faster than the speed of sound and goku during the Z saga is multitudes more faster than him, that explains a lot.

This is all well and good, but unless you have actual empirical evidence of them being FTL just GTFO about the whole thing.

If Kid Goku is Mach 2 for instance and Frieza was 1,000 times that Frieza is still nowhere near light speed.

Even if he was 100,000 times faster then kid goku's speed he still wouldn't be going light speed...

To become invisible you have to move several times the speed of sound (in a humanoid sized body), nowhere near light.

I'm not sure, the anime has though. Hence me saying what I did about the instant transmission move.

Exactly.

more than half of carver's argument

the frieza fight with goku was notoriously lengthened, he was useless after goku transformed.
