Yes, they showed it but that's not my point. Vegeta thought of frieza as a galaxy buster... they didn't have to show it.
Your second statement is kind of wrong. Wolverine can't read parkers powerlevel to determine how much power that person can generate like the z fighters can. Vegeta along with goku can stare at a person and determine if that person is a threat to them. Marvel and dc characters doesn't have this ability, that is why hyperbole is a legitament statement for them whereas these rules doesn't apply to marvel and dc.
And you all just keep failing to realize that the characters are the narriators.

What was he lying about? Supreme Kai (not vegeta) said buu was just unimaginably much more stronger then freiza.

Personally... I think Fieza takes this, and does so for the high end majority.
I really don't see many ways that Thanos can win this fight.
IMO I think a solid argument could be made for first form Frieza giving Thanos all sorts of fits.
The only thing that Frieza MAY have some reason to worry from Thanos would be due to telepathic assaults... MAYBE.
But even then you're talking about a tactic that's used a much as Frieza's telekenetic explosion technique and has never been used to negotiate a powerful opponent. So....... yeah Frieza FTW IMO.
