He does have impressive durability I just don't feel his durability holds a candle to current Surfer.

Thor is also a lot more powerful than classic Surfer and he hardly took any blows from either him or Bill prior to and the bills Bill took prior too were much more severe.

My attack of his durability was only in comparison to current Surfer. I think he's less durable than classic Surfer and Superman as well but far more powerful than both of these characters imo.

thor has been upgraded since that fight, though.

no, in general.

He hasn't been upgraded though. He did when he received the odinforce then rune king thor then lost both of those. Then he came back with a portion of the odinforce and has since lost it. He's back at classic Thor levels and was never upgraded permanently unless anyone can prove me wrong.

thor, for me, has been written to be generally more powerful than he was even in the 90s, and even the early 00s before disassembled.

I feel just the opposite for me outside the times when he had the thorforce.

I don't think the Thor of the nineties would bat an eyelash to the ufoes or have went down to rulk though I know even the 90's couldn't prevent loeb from working his mischief.
Though the writer of siege compared thor's power to ares' which is downright sickening. These writers nowadays don't care and will do whatever they want nowadays I mean we see the Spectre and Galactus getting shown up all the time to the new threat.

I feel like these characters used to be protected a lot more back in the day than today. I know some feel the notion it's all about the story so the hell with fan's reactions but I feel you can still tell a good story without crapping all over some of their history with an awful showing.

normally i'd agree, but I thought Thor didn't do too badly in Siege.

Even though quan is a thanos fanatic he is a cool guy to me (by the way quan, I owned you in that gladiator topic).

Carver is cool too... he and quan are rivals it seems. Who will come out on top?

Hahahaha, you were caught in every fabrication I was aware of proved nothing and left the thread leaving all in doubt whether they can ever take anything you ever say as is.

I don't believe Thor is weaker now.

The Thor that [temporarily] beat Glory, would beat Onslaught.

It varies from writer to writer is my point. There was no upgrade just different writer's interpretations of Thor and what he is capable of.

Been a while. I've not read any of them past Taggerung, but I'd have to say my favorite was probably the first one I read: Legend of Luke.

Ah, well then I agree on this point. It's annoying yeah. I wish there were fewer monthly 616 comics and a select few (like 3 at most) writers for them that all consult with each other somewhat on everything. That would keep the 616 stuff more consistent.

Thor was also much weaker at the time of onslaught and was stated to be weaker around this time.

This would keep it easier to monitor the writers from letting the crap see print that's for sure but as long as they make money that's the bottom line for all these comic companies. It loeb sells well they'd be stupid as a business to fire him just because his writing is inconsistent.

I feel Thanos could beat this team if he's pissed and going for the kill. That being said, if I feel Thanos could beat this team, I feel Odin certainly would as I place him above the Mad Titan
