Anything else Rianna wants to investigate? Kind of need Dak to move on in the Market...

No trophies today, Xavier.
The other fights:
Galder vs. Karr - Galder goes knifey against an experienced local brawler. It takes 9 turns before Galder stabs Karr in the leg, prompting him to quit.
V'r'ada vs. Hirdir - Strange tendril-bodied thing against a twinned-axe man. After Hirdir's first hit, he is entangled in alien's tendrils and strangled for 9 turns until he cries uncle.
Wilbim vs. Veed - Tiny cyborg up against a thick-skinned behemoth! Wilbim runs circles around Veed, stabbing him rapidly with a sword. It only takes 6 turns because Veed can't feel pain.
All fighters receive medical attention to prepare for the next turn...
Rianna gets three successes on her Observation score and finds three things of interest:
Trinkets from the Jungle
Weapons!
Local Wares

As it so happens, Dak, the Captain DOES remember Sael coming through here!
"He wanted to head out into the jungle with a hunting party," he says. "But he was not skilled enough to join mine, and nobody else was heading in the direction he wanted. He seemed urgent. Left a few days ago on his own. Stupid git."
Xavier catches a moment of rest between rounds and use the minimal medical gear they provide. His damage is halved to 15 points.
Round 2 is starting! It looks like Xavier is going up against Wilbim, the tiny cyborg with amazingly enhanced speed. They have disqualified his using a sword after the last round, so he's resorting to a small sharp knife.
No, you do not. It looks quite old.
"Something interest you?" asks the shopkeeper. Like pretty much every man on Vorkuta, you've noticed, he's quite grizzled.
-
"I daresay he did. The jungle will have taught him much about life and death, as it has taught me. He won't have learned from his lessons, though. He wouldn't have lived long enough."
The Captain indicates that Sael was going into the darkest parts of the jungle, known as the Trap. Few ever go out that way, for the most dangerous game is out there and rumors of it being a holy ground for the natives scares everyone else off.
"Just rumors, though," the Captain says. "I haven't seen them over there."
The shopkeep introduces himself as Useld, a treasure hunter.
"Found it in the ruins," Useld says. "Out in the jungle, obviously. All sorts of things to be found there."
-
"Shardik cubs!" the Captain says. "Their pelts are worth fortunes on the Rim. Highly difficult to kill, though."
You notice that the Captain has a military-grade laser cannon strapped to him, a bola launcher, a nasty hunting knife, and some sort of disintegration pistol. He isn't messing around.
