STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Holocron

Rianna is on to Brath's ruthless hacking strategy. It is less effective when she slips to one side. She also manages to jab a Hopeful in the side as she moves around Brath, evading his attacks.

Xavier and Tilith continue to clash with their Dexterity plays, thrusting and parrying repeatedly, though Xavier's onslaught is continually interrupted by Hopefuls. He cuts one down to lessen his opposition.

Both Rianna and Xavier tie with their Padawans; round draw goes to attackers.

Brath/Hopefuls: 1

Brath is trying to spear Rianna on his blade, while Tilith tries to join the Hopefuls in getting at Xavier's flank.

Xavier will use a Strong Strength this turn, and bully Tilith into not being able to flank while taking down another hopeful.

Ewww, I only have bad moves left.

Rianna will bat away Brath's saber, while turning to kick him in the side. Weak Strength.

Tilith's nimble flip around you is faster than you can turn to, so your powerful blow goes nowhere, Xavier. She played a Weak Agility and ducks under your blade, then barges into you for a lock.

Round draw, goes to attacker.

As for Rianna, a power blow was the right step! While you do not have much of an effect in batting or kicking, Brath changed his tactic and his grip on his lightsaber is looser. You manage to solidly block the jab, and take down another Hopeful with your free moment.

Xavier and Rianna to attack.

"Back down now, Brath," Rianna says as she makes a slash at his side. Weak Dexterity.

Xavier doesn't like how the odds are going right now, Xavier will use a decently powerful attack to sweep Tilith off her feet.

Normal Strength

This turn goes better for Xavier. Instead of staying on the defensive, Xavier suddenly surges forward and barges into Tilith, saber first. Her Dexterity move is not designed to handle this and it gives him free space to chop down a Hopeful- it disappears like the first.

Rianna manages to get around on Brath's side and actually nick him with her lightsaber! She then whirls around and jabs a Hopeful in mid-air, as it was leaping at her.

Brath realizes that things are looking poorly and tries to jab at Rianna again, while Tilith performs a flip to get on the other side of Xavier.

The room is starting to rumble and collapse.

Rianna will flip backwards out of his reach, landing and holding her lightsaber up to block any other incoming attacks. Weak Agility.

(three agility, two dexterity, and one strength for my next set, if needed)

Well Xavier only has his weak agility left so he'll use that.

Xavier attempts to match Tilith's agile move with one of his own. He jumps towards attempting to block her attack.

Unneeded, Rianna- at this point, Brath cannot match you, with so few Hopefuls plaguing you. You leap just outside of Brath's swing, then leap back in and drive your lightsaber into his chest.

Brath promptly disappears, as do any Hopefuls assailing you.

Tilith is shocked by the Brath-shaped void in the room, and drops her lightsaber. The rabid Hopefuls keep at it, but without Tilith they do not stand a chance. Xavier cuts them down easily.

"What..." Tilith says. "How can this be?"

"What do you mean Tilith?" Xavier confused as she has stopped attacking

Rianna does not really stop to think about what she just did, though again she is surprised by the fact that Brath simply vanished, like the Hopefuls did.

"He should have known he could not face me..." she says quietly. "Nor can you, Tilith, so don't try."

"Master," Tilith says. "I... a... don't..."

Tilith's lips are moving clearly, but her sounds are not coming out correctly. Her body appears to glitch and warp, and the room is falling apart around you both.

You then sense a new presence emerge from nowhere.

A Nautolan stands behind you, wearing the robes of a Jedi Master. They appear to flicker gently, alternating between brown and black, and the figure is concentrating hard.

"Who are you?" Rianna turns around, pointing her lightsaber at this new intruder.

What does she sense in particular about him?

"Tilith not," Xavier says putting a hand out to her and then looks at the new person.

"Who are you and what are you doing to her?"

He feels familiar. You are afraid of him and hate him... emotions that a Jedi should not indulge!

"I... am doing... nothing!" says the Nautolan, concentrating with extreme difficulty. Suddenly, there is a relaxation on his face, and his robes definitely turn black and tattered. His skin becomes bleached and white and taut. "That is better. Now, we need to leave this place. It's collapsing."

Rianna takes a step back, narrowing her eyes at him and trying to bring her emotions under control...she doesn't like this at all.

"I see that. But again - who are you? You seem...familiar, but you shouldn't. How did you appear here? Are you another of Rallo's tricks?"

"I sense something about you something familiar, you're causing anger and hate you must be of the darkside," Xavier says.

"Have at thee Darth Calamari!"

With that Xavier begins to move forward.

"This isn't real!" says the figure. "I am Nume Rand, someone that you work with but also hate and despise. You have been trapped in a device meant to make you think you are Jedi, but you are not. At least, not any more."

Rand has already acknowledged that none of this is real... and Flings Xavier away with no trouble at all. Master Kolarn smashes into a wall and drops heavily.

"This is just another Sith trick!" Rianna replies, dashing at Rand and slashing at her with her own lightsaber.
