Before the debate, I was a Riggs supporter.

Joking aside, I do think that Riggs is better at H2H and with guns, but McClane is better at thinking on his feet and completing impossible style missions in impossible style ways.

Riggs is the conventional cop, McClane's more of a wild card. That's how I see it.

Riggs actually hasn't got many onscreen feats that assert his H2H dominance.
That was exaggerated by the Riggs support community (Before he became the HP support community.)

Riggs is one half of a conventional cop duo. Nothing more.

There was no real debate, more of a massacre. McClane handily won.

Who's overall the bigger badass? Indeed, McClane hands down.

But in a straight up fist fight? IMO Riggs.

In a straight up fist fight McClane has the same chance he has in all of his other fights. Riggs could bring nothing new to the multitudes of attacks that have befallen McClane along the way.

And Riggs is quite basic and not as fast as is generally believed.
He is a poseur who growls a lot, stares hard then does elementary stuff that has been displayed by the many people that McClane had killed over time... Still.

We could always rebump the McClane Riggs thread, if you like.

Lol no need, I received your PM, and believed your opinion on the issue to be reasonable. And besides, I need to start revving up for midterms and apply for jobs and internships this semester 🙁 , and can't really afford the time to have lengthy debates. Not to mention, I'd pretty much have to rewatch all 8 movies (both DH and LW) to formulate more solid points and arguments thanks to my ever so shitty memory. Hell, rewatching them might even make me change my mind on the issue.
