Look at the American Revolution. In the early years the Rebels got wrecked pretty much every time they met the Redcoats on the field on their own terms. While conversely guerrilla fighters using Indian tactics had much better success. It wasn't until late in the Revolution that the Americans became a good enough military to actually challenge the British on the field and match if not beat them.

Libya has pretty much no grounds for starting a World War.

I saw a report that pointed out that the Libyan oil needs far less processing to turn it into fuel, I´m not an expert on the subject so ask my why.

If Gaddafi were smart and wanted to stop the revolting, he should set up a rape-policy and let it be publicly known that any rebel captured in battle will be gang-raped repeatedly by his soldiers. It's not like the world doesn't already think he's an insane monster, so he's got nothing to lose by using such measures.

I certainly wouldn't join the resistance.
