Huge bonus points to anyone who know this scene. 😄

It's not just the Flashes. DC in general is just plain faster. And Gog would be a terrible example of someone who wouldn't be expected to have super-speed, considering he was channeling the power of 4 skyfathers and phantom stranger.

No one says Thor is incapable of reacting to speedsters. It's just that marvel has very few speedsters, and almost none on the level of top DC guys. And no one in Marvel is on the level of the Flashes. Under abstract anyway.

Point of order: Phantom Stranger didn't empower Gog. He was the only one of the Quintessence who hadn't forgotten his brain that day.

He did fine against Hermes.

Any quantifiable speed for Hermes?

Why did they empower him in the first place? It just seemed like a colossal cluster**** looking at it.

Zack: 👆 Glad to see someone enjoys the classics.

They all had their own asinine reasons.

IIRC Zeus wanted something to happen that would push mortal kind back to worshiping gods like him.

I think Shazam and Ganthet both wanted their boys (Cap and GL respectively) to become greater heroes than Superman (by Superman being dead I guess?).

No idea WTF Highfather wanted from it. Guess he just wanted to be cool and go with the crowd.

Hermes was beating Makkari in a battle that lasted for less than a single second or some such.

Are you sure he doesn't have to just tap his hammer off the ground ?

unless Mjolnirs OS got rewritten, then no; all tapping would do is change forms, and IIRC call down lightning if done 3x

It always changes from story to story depending on how the writer chooses to define it's powers for that story. To act as if there is some chart these writers all adhere to is silly.

Yo.

I wouldnt say "alw[COLOR=green]ays changes from story to story", atleast not w/Mjolnir, and thats said as I cant *ever* remember Thor opening a portal by tapping, only spinning.

and sure some writers will tweak how something will work in a comic to suit their needs, but not all do; if U know of a time when he did tap 4 a portal, then plz share........

I honestly can't recall which comic it's in but I am pretty sure he has done so.

Marvel have some people that are just like DC peeps speed wise and Thor has done well against them. Right off the top of my head, Gladiator, Hyperion, and Surfer and these 3 alone are just like DC finest when it comes to speed imo.

Nah, in general DC plays up it's speedsters and has a lot more than MU.
