I can't believe this thread has went on this long. This is the main reason I say lifting feats means CRAP, especially in a fight. Using that as evidence would put Hulk, Supes, Gladiator, Thor, along numerous of others above Thanos, when all in all, he probably could solo this team.
You have to look more into depth. Thanos striking power is insane and his showings is consistent enough to tell us where he stands tier wise. Put Supes in Thanos shoes during the Odin, Thor, Tyrant, and Galactus fight and he would probably get taken out in one panel.
Supes has also faced similar people to Thanos and it didn't turn out so well because again, he was fighting "above his tier (examples V&V Despero, Prime, Monarch (arguably), Titus). Superman is in Thor and Surfers class... and there really isn't a way to contradict this. Hell, going by your definition long pig... Thor>Superman since Thor has defeated Galactus twice on panel, damaged Celestials, tanked attacks from Odin, recently defeated a being that had the power of 10000 gods, defeated Mangog, defeated the Destroyer, defeated Ego the living planet... etc, etc... all skyfather level beings and he defeated these beings under his own power or performed these feats under his power...Thor feats outshines almost anyone mentioned in here but we have seen how he does against Thanos on NUMEROUS of occasions and we have see people thoughts on a Thor vs Superman fight.

In a matter of seconds, Superman memorized the exact workings of the miracle machine (down to every last nut and bolt) - then he recalled said information, and used it as the blueprints to build his own miracle machine, from scratch.
Add more memory to a computer, it doesn't make the programming more powerful.
It's not just memory. After Infinite Crisis, he has a nigh-instant understanding of even the most advanced technology, like the one employed by the Watchtower, Batman, kryptonian etc. and has even shown himself to be able to improve on them.
He instantly figures out what even Luthor has been unable to

He understands, and is capable of improving on what Batman is working on:

etc.
And in his spare time his lectures look kind of like this:

Not to mention, his mind is capable of calculating vectors and masses mid-battle.

His intelligence is now a super power, similarily to how it was pre-Crisis.
