Assassin's Creed: Revelations

And you get an achievement for beating the crap out of him, too.

Hmm interesting. I'll do that.

Finished the game.

The game is good. At some times, the game play is fantastic while at other times it feels unnecessary. I enjoyed the basic Assassins Creed game play so it's not really an issue. The FPS sections were curious but I do enjoy finding out more about Desmond. I just feel that it could of been better as well, the revelations of Desmond were not as strong as a hope. I really wish they didn't tell his story through his own words but actually shown the parts (similar to how they did with Altair).

I loved how they brought back Altair as well and some of missions that were scripted were excellent in providing a change of pace from the open-ended sandbox type game.

The story was the weakest in the series and the city didn't feel as memorable as the previous cities in the series.

I'm interested to see what's coming next in the series. As I said before, I enjoy the basic game play in the series but I feel that the setting should be drastically different for me to get excited about the sequel. I also wish that they get rid or change significantly of the some of side quests like buying up stores, managing assassins, viewpoints and treasures. Or add something completely different.

What I think would be cool for a setting would be a trip to the late 1800's where you play as assassins in diguise acting as a police detective chasing Jack the Ripper or something like that, or a trip to ancient Japan with ninja's.

Shao Jun would be interesting, especially seeing things from the perspective of a female Assassin, but it's highly unlikely that Desmond has Chinese ancestry.

So not in a main game.

They've also wanted to push for a closer time period. Revolutionary France or Victorian England seem like good bets. "Miles" is a Norman French surname that was adopted into English, so one could make a good case for either.

Well, I think that Desmond may not be limited so much in the animus anymore, having concurred it and all, just a theory, he might have to look into someone else's ancestry. Or, there is also the idea that there are other "keys", like in this game with Altair, or something similar, where Desmond has to live more important events leading to the present.

haha, I love those videos.

He's pretty much right on.

I enjoyed the game but it does feel a bit cash grabby.

It's also a bit worrying that the next Assassins Creed is coming next year. A bit early in my opinion.

...we basically already know that it is. AC3 coming out in 2012 has been assumed by people for years now.

True.

Hopefully your right.

The nature of the story kind of entails it too.

Well, yeah. That's kind of the point, and why everyone's been figuring for a long time that AC3 would be in 2012.

Even the dev has stated that it would be inane if they released AC3 after December 2012.

It would look weird but I don't think it would be a deal breaker.

I wouldn't notice if the game was released in Winter 2013.

It just looks bad when you release a game every year even if the story dictates it.

I'm having fun with the multiplayer but there are still problems with it like the search function for example. Darn thing made me wait for about half an hour when I was with a party and yet when I search for a match by myself, it takes about a minute or two. There's also a glitch that seems to have players assassinate their targets from above even when they're under a roof.

Ubisoft has stated that the party problem is a "known issue." Having less than 4 people in your party messes it up for some unexplained reason.

Though after the patch they released last month, it seems to work sometimes. Just not all the time.

But yeah, generally the best way to get a group in a match is to start one, and then invite people while you're still waiting for others to join.

I would just like to say that you people ruined the game ending for me. Well, not just you people, one of my friends did so as well. You all got me so hyped up about the ending being this crazy awesome thing and, while it was pretty cool, it was nowhere near as amazing as people were making it sound. 🙁

Nonetheless, apart from a rough beginning (which was totally my fault), loved the game. Didn't like the bombs. Rarely ever used them, but a nice addition. I only ever used them when the mission forced me to.

Well I finally talked myself into playing this game and I pretty much felt like that ending was underwhelming.

In a weird and unfortunate way I kind of proved myself right about this installment being a cash cow of sorts. Sure wrapping up both Ezio and Altair's stories in one game is convinient and all but in all honesty, there wasn't anything important that wasn't already covered with the exception of the ending.

Still a fun game and all but Brotherhood was better IMO. Though I wonder why they couldn't just cover stuff like this in a DLC for AC3 in 2012 or later in the current year.

Man, Squidiish is still my f*cking hero. Love his videos, even though I don't own the game yet.
