Soul manipulation gets bested by soul destruction, which Akuma deals with regularly.

Not in terms of what it does, and what it takes to resist it. Basically, Khan's technique requires the soul left intact to empower him. Akuma's technique ERASES the soul entirely, and he has to resist that in order to live through the technique himself, which he has done so several times now. If a technique designed to destroy the soul cannot destroy or budge his soul, someone who is trying to merely move it ain't gonna to budge shit.
So, Khan can't physically overpower Akuma, can't outspeed or out skill him, and can't budge his soul either, what is Khan going to do? he is going to retreat and STAY away from Akuma, that's what.
