Ah, the old brainchild81. Anybody who knows your history knows you hate everything about superman. Its all about personal tastes, I thinks its OK. You likes to think that its lame, go ahead and holler at the top of your voice. Doesn't matter.
My dislike for the character doesn't have any effect on how the costume looks. As I said, people who like him say the same thing. Your point is moot. Anyone who knows my history knows I don't really talk about Supes that often anymore & when I did, the thread titles often called for it. Think before you post, kid. &it's obvious that my opinion does matter. The fact that you just had to chime in about it in the first place means that it matters to you(so does the digging into my history). I appreciate it. 🙂

If that is Jay, he definitely gets the prize for worst costume of this event. He looks like a Pym/Spidey/Flash amalgam. 👇

Yeah, I'm with you. That looks terrible.

Which is all really kind of upsetting if it is Jay- as goofy as his tin hat before was, I loved the Mercury/Hermes allusion and it felt classic... le sigh.

If that is Jay...lol.

Almost as bad as Alan's literal Lantern costume.

“There isn't much we want to say yet about Ya'wara. She is a member of the Tapirape, an indigenous tribe of Brazil living in deep in the Amazon rainforest, she has a jaguar, she has a unique power and she has a connection with Aquaman that isn't going to make Mera very happy. “There's much more to learn about the Others in our upcoming Aquaman arc - what binds them together and what forces them to undertake one final mission - and what revelations we'll reveal about Aquaman through these reluctant heroes. "Plus, we haven't even talked villains yet...keep your eyes peeled for more.” - Geoff Johns

In JL: International has Booster said he is Canadian yet?

Wait, what, we scored Booster?

I now see that typing 'Booster G' into Canadian google, the second suggest result is 'Booster Gold Canadian'... mmm

So is he still from the future? Or did he just steal his supersuit from the futuristic land of Canada?

Not sure, just in FanExpo they revealed he is Canadian a few months back. As far as I know they havent explained his history yet

While it'll be nice to have a hero that doesn't look like he found his costume in a gift shop in Banff.

I think it was to make up for their new and "fresh" Canadian character Dark Crow...who was meh!

Hahaha. I love the maple leaf sewn onto the left shoulder of his outfit. Good stuff.

I think it's funny that he wears the red ceremonial RCMP jacket (abet a modified version). I don't think anyone outside of Canada realizes that the Red Serge is just a dress uniform, its not what mounties wear out in the field... the just look like normal cops.

LMAO!

Haha.

Yea I really hate the name change too. And I doubt Johns believes the reasons he gave either.

The name change is silly, imo. Most people who read comics know that his name is Captain Marvel, but for copyright issues, he can't be promoted as that, so he's just referred to as "Shazam!". The explanation doesn't go over that many people's heads when you do break it down for casual fans or observers. And since Johns has confirmed bringing back the Marvel (or I guess, Shazam Family) will Mary and Freddy be called "Mary Shazam" or "Shazam, Jr."? Or something else weird?

And word on that shit. As a big Alan/JSA fan, that crap signified the death knell of the JSA I loved for years.

Mostly I just see a logistical issue with calling himself the same word that transforms him from/to a week feeb.

Like, he couldn't show up at a scene and be like "Have no fear, SHAZAM is here!", cause that would totally backfire every time.

What does he tell the swooning reporters that his name is?

Come on guys, gotta think of these things.

I'm thinking Johns' will change it so that he can say "Shazam" without triggering the transformation, similar to how Freddy-Shazam was able to. He'll just need to say it and will the transformation to occur instead of blurting out the name. Otherwise he'll have the same problem Captain Marvel, Jr did, who basically had to call himself "Junior" or "CM3".

I have enough faith in Johns that he won't completely jump the shark on this, but who knows.
