I've been enjoying Red Lanterns, though I need to catch up with Dark Knight.

Red Lanterns was slow but its picking up. I'm collecting Batman and not the Dark Knight I really suspect that is the title I should be collecting, or I'll have to drop another title for it. Also wish I was collecting Captain Atom.

Captain Atom is the one book that I should read but haven't yet. I dunno why, I think the character just doesn't interest me the way he used to.

^ Yeah, he's certainly written to a more cosmic scale then he's ever been before. It's a great book though.

Just read issue 6 of Green Arrow... wtf? Apparently getting shot point blank in the side of the head is no big deal for Ollie. 😕

hmmm wasn't there a Green Arrow that got powers as in a healing factor before the revamp. Maybe there basing that off for this one?

^You mean connor hawke. Maybe.

It looks like Animal Man, Resurrection Man, Frankenstien, and Andrew Bennett will be reserve members for Justice League Dark. Niiiice!

Aquaman cover recently shown depicts Black Manta. Interesting.

Also no sure how accurate is this but this states that its still up in the air that Green Arrow could indeed have powers.

Oliver Queen's powers, if any, remain unknown. It has been rumored that Green Arrow may in fact be a metahuman. The Department of Extranormal Operations has a classified dossier on Queen, wherein they indicate such a possibility, but as of yet, this information has not been confirmed nor denied.

Man, Captain Atom is such a consistently good comic. Good enough to buy, even (not that I plan on doing so)... But if I couldn't DL it for some reason, I'd probably buy it. Maybe. uhuh

Justice League sucked. Once again the 5-or-so page backup story (this week it had to do with

Spoiler:
Shazam
) was better than the rest of the comic. Imo.

Won't be reading anything else this week.

Haven't read Captain yet, but Red Hood and Batman were pretty awesome.

BOP was pretty awesome as wel.

The Shazam short was cool. Kinda sucks that they did away with Fawcett City and are basing Billy in Phily.

On a scale from 1-10, how was it?

7.5

Yeah, that was alluded to during his solo run more than once. His accuracy seemed so insanely high that they thought it might have been a superpower.

JLA was all right, I thought, but it was a total filler issue, and I'm not a fan of Gene Ha's art. I liked the little parts showing Bruce and Hal not getting along, so I'm looking forward to next issue.

I'm indifferent to the Batson thing. It's all right, it just hasn't grabbed me yet.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they did that..?

It was just a boring issue--nothing really happened. And yeah, I don't care for the art either.

does anyone know if Maxima ever appeared in the dcnu? I thought I read a few months ago that she was supposed to

She has not appeared

This was the original solicit:

SUPERGIRL #5

Written by MICHAEL GREEN and MIKE JOHNSON

Art and cover by MAHMUD ASRAR

On sale JANUARY 18 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US • RATED T

Supergirl’s nightmare is finally over – she has left Earth and has somehow made it back to Argo City! But it’s not the home she remembers, and a deadly new adversary stands in her way. Enter: Maxima!

However, Mike Johnson later made this statement:

And then issue #5 is another new villain. I think there may be some confusion because an early solicitation had her named "Maxima." But this is a new character that we had thought about naming Maxima because we loved the name, even though that character had perished in the previous universe. But we're not using the name Maxima anymore. I don't want to say what she's called now. We'll leave that a secret for now.

In short: Maxima has not yet made her debut in the DCNU. The creature they were originally going to name Maxima, ended up being called "Reign":

Thanks for the explanation, Galan. I was also confused by that name change.
