well there's another title i'll stop reading...
Also: ****ing fire Matt Idelson (the editor of the Superman line). He is one of, if not the worst editor in comics, by far.
i'm kind of in the same boat. once morrison's run is over and i drop action comics, the only titles i'll be following in dc are captain atom, which will likely be cancelled, and i vampire, which is on the chopping block as well. as far as marvel goes, the only comics i actively follow right now are ff and f4, and that's only because of hickman. when he leaves those titles in a few months, i'll be dropping them as well.
so yeah, in 6 months or so (if that) i might not be reading any comics published by marvel/dc. 🙁

WW is the only title i've thought about looking into, because i've heard a few good things about it. we'll see.

what did he do this time?

Look at Grant's run on the JLA. On X-Men. On Batman. Now, look at his run on the main Superman title - not even a year and a half. Add to that, the fact that the next Superman writer is Scott Lobdell (which is the 4th writer in less than a year for the Superman title), and you can see why I'd boomtube his ass out of the office. He is incompetent, dumb, interfering and he has been shitting on the Superman line for years now with his incredibly bad decisions (don't even get me started on that).
The fact that he is crapping all over the main shot at getting Superman right - a massive line-wide reboot that started from DC wanting to get Superman right in the first place, starting with dissolving the marriage - is even more "I want to grab his fist, stick it up his ass, and punch his palate up his brain".
It's long past due he gets fired.

And, what, Lobdell's 3rd book? Or is it his 4th?
He's a reasonable writer who can manage more than one book at a time, but c'mon, you can't put your best effort into things that way. Even people like Geoff Johns and Bendis slip in quality when they juggle too many books. No-one does their best work on their 3rd book on a moment's notice.
Perez and Morrison are both pro's pros. If they're ditching, it means something's rotten.

I'd say... mixed bag. There's some good stuff, but at the same time there's a couple big facepalm, "Editorial should have shot this down soooo fast," things in her background. And to be clear, it is a new character as well.
BentleyI'm also in the same boat that Galan is, right now I'm mostly skipping everything Marvel and DC are publishing with just some exceptions (Hickman). Both companies seem to be winning lots of money so I don't see why they'd change their plans
Yes and no. Marvel's doing great (and while most books don't attract me, there are some like Journey Into Mystery and X-Force that get plenty of praise with good reason). DC's universe is merely doing good-ish, not far from pre-reboot, but outside-universe stuff like Beyond Watchman is doing great. However DC is also churning writers and artists like crazy.
Btw, the amount of good non-big 2 stuff out there is increasing. Like at IDW, their Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye is almost certainly the best transformers comic ever (Premise- the war is over. Hotrod takes a bunch of Autobots on a grand quest. And then so much cool stuff happens).

Agreed. The Superman line has been pretty dismal, outside of Action Comics, which is superb. I hope they can find someone good to replace Morrison. So far, the shuffling of creators has worked in DC's favor.

Oh, right... Yeah.
The guy seems to prefer Supergirl anyway, tbh.
I've been trying to slowly feel my way back into some titles I might enjoy. More failures than successes, but not without rays of light. For example, if I try not to compare it to Ellis and "old Wildstorm" - a losing battle for nearly any writer - I can enjoy Stormwatch for what it is. I will probably pick up He-Man and will look forward to the new Sandman stuff.
Earth 2 could not have been handled worse though, and the JSA was my mainstay book for DC prior to Flashpoint, so it stings. The supposed controversy of Alan being gay is literally the only thing I've been ok with so far. I am struggling to justify continuing with it, even after so few issues, because the foundation of what I enjoyed about the team is already beyond retrieval.
i vampire is definitely a fun read, but it is still, primarily, a horror-themed book (as are the other titles you mentioned)-- and horror-themed books certainly aren't everyone's cup of tea (ie. if you don't enjoy that specific genre, you likely will not enjoy those series'.) imho, the best titles in current dc that can appeal to a wide array of fans are batman inc., and action comics-- both of which are very enjoyable due to the nigh-impeccable writing/plots that morrison has consistently brought to the table... but unfortunately, he will be leaving those titles very soon, so i expect the overall quality of said books to plummet as a result (hence why i will stop reading them when grant leaves.)
hopefully sandman will be good. if not, then i probably won't follow anything else consistently (aside from the 'soon to be cancelled' CA and i vamp) until multiversity is released.
If you're into street level books, Birds of Prey is one of the best. Followed by Batwoman.
If you like horror, I, Vampire.
Best team book now is Justice League Dark.
If you like cosmic, then Captain Atom is the way to go.
For big super hero fun, I love Green Lantern, Action Comics, and Batman Inc.
If you're into the weird, then Dial H has been intriguing.
