Damn.

Morrison leaving AC and Batman, Inc. is going to be a tough blow for both titles.

Aww ****.

Is he still signed to DC? Is it because of Multiversity?

Batman will survive

gl was good i thought. this black hand stuff is really taking off

aquaman was filler but in a good way. also liking what jons did with the others. they could have just been walking cliches, but each of them has a twist to make them interesting.

I, Vampire was okay... Not quite what I expected.

Justice League Dark was the shiznit this week. The book keeps getting better and better.

GL and GL NG was both really good. I don't see how they are going to deal with Invictus, next one going to be just as good I bet!

Loving the Aquaman series and the last issue was great (and felt like a longer read, which I enjoyed)

Just dropping by since no one mentioned Aquaman's speed feat in this issue.

He outswimms The Operative's plane and he admits that they can't mach Aquaman's speed (and they are both in a hurry to stop BM)

In issue 10 it was revealed that The Operative's plane can go Hypersonic, and Hypersonic is > Mach 5

So Aquaman > Mach 5 and the first great speed feat for DCnU Aquaman

Niiiiiice

😂

After that cruise-liner feat, that would be some argument to make.

When I say it resembles Marvel a bit more I mean its more 'modern'. Comments made about DC being 'silly' are due to the fact that DCU is an older universe. If you look at what they have done with the JSA and other characters DC has lost it's classic feel.

I don't think that DC are trying to copy marvel on a conscious level but one of the reasons why they're changing their style is to be more competitive. They're in competition with Marvel so the idea that it's not going to be a factor at all is unrealistic.

I'd honestly argue that they're as successful as they are primarily because they're not copying Marvel at all; and are in fact offering a quality alternative.

So Marvel being their main competitor isn't going to affect them at all?

By the way what company sold more comics prior to reboot? I honestly thought Marvel were doing better especially with their movies and stuff.

DC has more variety, IMO.

Of course it's going to affect them; they affect each other.

Marvel was selling more pre-reboot, but DC had been shrinking the gap for a while and were catching up.

DC led in the unit sales last month, even though AVX is taking place. Thanks to Before Watchmen.

Movies mean little to sales, but yea, Marvel, though like PR says I think the gap was shrinking before the boot hit.

With the reboot, if you only count main universe stuff (I.e. not Before Watchman) then really DC hasn't made any long term gains market share wise.

Sales have increased so far. Marvel's shuffling of creators will have it's fair share of increased sales.
