I like at least one lantern per corps. Red=Atrocitus, Blue=Saint Walker, Yellow=Sinestro/Arkillo, Green Guy, John, and Kyle, Purple=Indigo 1, Star Sapphire=Carol/Fatality, etc...HOWEVER, we only need a few for each corps, so I hope they get rid of most of them and have a few for each corps. Would make things a lot neater.
You want DC to devote an entire Lantern color/corps to just a few characters? That's dumb. They just need to cut the fat. Plain and simple.
Even before the New 52, the concept of 7 different Lantern corps (9 if you count Black and White) was, and still is, stupid as hell. Green and Yellow Lanterns? No problem, they've been around forever. Purple and Pink Lanterns, though? Laughably stupid. Now that DC has introduced all of these colors, I'd have no problem with them keeping around a few extra for sales purposes (Red and Orange would be the best choices from a monetary standpoint)-- but the rest are superfluous and have needed to go away for a while now.
Tbh, many of the individual characters you mentioned above could simply be rolled into a different corps-- Saint Walker, for instance, could easily be inducted into the GLC. See what I'm saying? Keep the decent characters, and get rid of the stupid ass corps they were associated with.

Galan is racist and colorist. No purple, black, pink, mexican, blue, or asian for him 😛.
In all seriousness, I like the corps. I think they work well like they do now: one comic that encompasses them all (New Guardians). No need to spread them around in solo titles.

I like the Corps, personally. I just think more could be done with them.
At this point they just need to get rid of them. Lanterns no longer seem like a special breed. 👇

Well technically Pink lanterns have been around a long time too, but yeah...cheese.
Corney as hell.

👆 Personally, I don't see any of the corps gone forever. Johns created a huge mythology, where you like it or not. I just don't need an army or anything, just a few for each emotional spectrum and it could be done.
In a way, that is trimming the fat. In a big way.
Phantom Stranger 0 Preview. Looks pretty good, actually.

Corney as hell.
Blackest Night wasn't bad.
Red Lanterns is pretty decent too.
Originally posted by -Pr-I'm going to try out Red Lanterns(along with Aquaman 😛) this week, so I can't really comment on it as of now. However, BN, while not overtly 'bad', wasn't that good either. It had a few highlights, but all in all I found it to be lackluster/mediocre... Then you have the absolutely piss-poor War of the Lanterns, which made me facepalm several times. I just don't think the various corps have been that great-- and they've had ample time to shine. As far as I'm concerned, SCW was the last good Lantern-esque story(I thought it was nearly superb)... And like I said above, with all of these random colors of Lanterns, they(Lanterns as a whole) just don't seem that special/unique to me anymore... Seems like any random ock can inherit some type of ring(which cheapens Lanterns across the board.)

All IMO, of course.

On another note, I am curious to find out more about the First Lantern. He is certainly touted to be insanely powerful, but I highly doubt he was/is as 'dangerous' as the Guardians stated-- they probably just didn't like how powerful he was, so they locked him away. Conversely, I think the Agent Smith-esque GL creatures the Guardians whipped up is [yet another] laughably stupid concept from Johns. He seems to be running out of fresh ideas more and more frequently.

Red Lanterns? DONT DO IT, GALAN! I already know you won't like it. Aquaman I think you will, but whatev.

I'll agree on War of the Lanterns, but I disagree on BN. I thought it was good.

I've heard good things about RL in general, so I'll give it a whirl. If it hasn't peaked my interest in the first 4 issues, I won't continue reading(that's how long I gave everything else in the New 52.)But I am finding Aquaman enjoyable so far. I'm on #7 as of now.

Originally posted by -Pr-In all honestly, I thought the first 4-5 issues were kind of slow, but now that Manta has entered the fray the plot as a whole has picked up tremendously. I am genuinely curious to know what the hell he's up to. As of now I'm about halfway through #8, so I'll be up to speed soon enough (assuming my little girl stays quiet lol.)

...Not to mention that the writing, artistry, and coloring are pure excellence.

Who do you think he's working for?

Yeah, I was pretty happy with it once Johns found his right pace.
