Where does it say he'll be the most powerful being on Earth?

lol, he's Captain Planet.

It didn't say specifically, but wielding that type of power puts you around the most powerful. Captain Atom is going to have some competition.

Kyle has always been the boss-est 👆

DCnU Superman is slowly, but surely, regressing back to the Marvelized version prior to Flashpoint. Once Morrison leaves, it will most definitely happen.

Eddie Berganza is rumored to be back to editing the Superman line.

He's the same guy who rejected Morrison, Millar, Waid and Peyer's infamous Superman 2000 pitch.

If true, this was yet another reason for Morrison to leave.

I'm really digging Lobdell's plans for Superman. 👆

it worries me that he makes absolutely no mention of the fact that Morrison already explored Krypton.

How much did Morrison explore Krypton? Because Lobdell will explore it even more. Me likely.

Morrison did enough to show us what Krypton was like. Because if Lobdell decided to change it, that's just going to make things a bit iffy.

I just don't want it to contradict, is all.

It will. I'm sure of it.

That's what I'm afraid of.

That, and Lobdell isn't really the same kind of writer as Morrison is.

What important things do you fear Lobdell will change? I honestly don't remember Morrison's version of Krypton. Seems to me that Lobdell will keep the futuristic version of the city and it's people.

He is going to become the punching bag for villains again to show how he isn't that powerful anymore to appease those who already hate superman with the rationalizatio that superman is too powerful and boring. The funny thing is that the same people love sentry, majestic, thor and surfer because they are powerful. DC pandering to these people is the reason superman is in the position he's for years. The sad thing is that there is nothing SUPER about superman anymore.

Where on Earth are you getting that from?

Grifter doing better than superman against helspont, superman backing down from a fight against supergirl, jurgens' typical punching bag superman? Need more?

Grifter didn't do it in Superman's own book, though.

Didn't read the Supergirl instance.

Jurgens is off that book, iirc. We haven't seen what Lobdell will do as regards feats.

There's still Johns on JL, too, and he's been writing an okay Superman since the start imo.
