I'm still reading it, but tbh it's probably one of the worst of the DCnU.

If you enjoyed the JSA previously, then it feels like a horrible butchering of.... everything.

If you think it's horrible, why even continue? lol

Because apparently I love the JSA enough to cause myself dire pain (i.e. reading this garbage)

The book isn't solely based on JSA, anyway. Just continue reading Justice League Dark. It is the best team book DC has. 😛

Action 0 was solid, I thought.

True, but it is still the medium through which the JSA members are being (re)released.

And yeah, the JSA revamps have been terrible thus far.

The only JSA revamp I'm not happy with is Jay. Prat, Sloan, and Alan are fine by me. Dr. Fate will pop up next issue, I think. Hawkgirl is a mystery.

Did anyone read Swamp Thing 0? Is Snyder's Origin of Alec the same as Pre-Flashpoint? Just curious.

No.

Ok.

Looks like DC/Marvel split. DC took the Market share, while Marvel took the unit share. By a hair.

I find that interesting. Isn't DC's books cheaper in general?

Yep. There is some differences on Marvel double shipping. I know quite a few people who don't want to buy 2 issues of the same title a month, so they drop it. It's hurting Marvel overall. I don't think DC is going to change back. Sales are up for them and they are constantly renewing interests with waves.

For those who haven't seen yet, Lucifer is going to be in another issue of Demon Knights, the #0 issue. Here on Newsarama is the preview. 🙂

Demon Knights has been pretty kick ass, but I'm not sure of that Lucifer. I'll give it a chance, though.

will be buying

I was talking to a guy running a comic booth next to mine at a local convention and I thought he said something interesting. He talked about how he likes dc's business practices way more than marvels. Apparently they're way friendlier to their comic retailers.

I hear that quite a bit. DC also is hugely ahead of Marvel in bookstore sales. By a good margin. Looks like DC's diversity is paying off big.

Considering that he gets his books from Diamond (both Marvel and DC), and not either company directly, I'd say he was talking out of his ass. LCS's deal with Diamond middle man, and its the same middle man for both companies.

Unless he his still mad about when Marvel was offering limited edition covers to comic shops to sell at a mark up if they mailed in ripped covers of unsold issues of Blackest Night.

Anyway... apparently Grifter is in his 40s in the nu52.

Wouldn't know. I know one of his big issues with Marvel is that they don't number their trades.

All in all, 'The Shade' was a decent mini. I just wish Irving would have illustrated the entire series-- his style suited it brilliantly.
