Lobdell talks a little bit about the new cosmic entity, Oracle

Diggle sounds like he has his head on straight.

I like short-temper Supes. =\

That's why you read JL.

Crisis on Infinite Earths type of reboot. Just damn. This could be great.

Well, Bleeding Cool has some more not so great rumors

I’ve been told from the same source who confirmed Gail Simone‘s initial departure from Batgirl, to expect more changes of the writers on a number of DC Comics imminently, including a number already solicited through Diamond. Indeed, that certain new creative teams are not even going to have a chance to start before they’ve been switched.

The plan from Dan DiDio, reacting to the current market dominance of Marvel NOW! is to jumpstart low-to-mid tier DC sales with spontaneous big ideas and sweeping initiatives. Which may need new creative teams and directions

I am told to expect DC PR to try and bury previous announcements, and ask compliant media sources for articles promoting a now non-existent team to be taken down.

Naturally, Bleeding Cool will be painting them with a big red circle and a pointy arrow.

And after the fallout of the attempt to fire Gail Simone, I’m told other creators being dropped have been asked not to tweet about it, in return for the possibility of future work at DC on other titles or fill-ins. Those who make a fuss won’t be returning.

haha, that sucks monkey balls 😂

Muhammad Ali's semi-departed @$$ is smiling at that.

Well, as much as I thought I was done with comics(haven't read any in about a month), I decided to read Phantom Stranger #4... It was enjoyable. We also get a glimpse of Spectre, who will be featured exclusively in the next issue:

It's funny how DC is putting armor on nearly every character-- even the high-end/abstract/mystical type. ElOhEl.

Anyway, back to not reading comics, I guess. 👆

That is awful 😖

Just read Phantom Stranger and loved the JLD in it! Green Lantern New Guardians was good, but boy was it a long read!!! nosweat

****ing Didio.

I'm all for changes on the lower end books. Hawkman, Deathstroke, GA, etc... There needs to be new blood and new ideas,

Even when the big books suffer? And writers have to "behave" or get told to go elsewhere?

Action was solid, though I felt they crammed not enough in to it.

It's a business. If a book isn't selling, you put a new creator in hopes that it does. So far, DC has made some really good choices in replacing writers. Cornell with Milligan, Liefeld with Justing Jordan, and now Ann with Lemire.

BTW, this is more toward the b titles not the big titles. The small titles are the ones that will be changing.

It's big ones too.

I know it might seem crazy, but you can have books that are genuinely good and sell well. DC doesn't seem to believe that.

From the link it said lower end to mid tier books. The books that are selling well won't be changed. DC has many low end and mid tier books that need changing. Blue Beetle for one, but it's too late for that.

I'm not talking about the lower books, which the link isn't only talking about. It's the subtle threats and the possibility of repeating the Gail Simone saga all over again.

How many writers have come out and slammed DC's treatment of them since the new 52 started? It's becoming a real problem at this point, tbh.

Which ones have slammed DC? Gail didn't. She got removed and was replaced again. And we don't know exactly what books are to be replaced, so let's wait and find out. I'm pretty sure it's just the ones that aren't selling and that's natural.
